My photos this week for Barn Charm were taken at Warm Springs Ranch near Boonville, MO. This is a Clydesdale breeding farm established in 2008 and is home to more than 100 Clydesdales ranging from foals to stallions. Tours are given at this farm and my daughter, with a few helpers, took several young kids from her school last year. These photos are hers, but since she borrowed my camera I borrowed her photos! I thought you might enjoy a little tour, too.
Look at those feet!
Just a few of the stalls inside.
He doesn't look too happy about being watched
while getting his bath.

Until next time...
Well of course those Clydesdales would have a beautiful home! It is gorgeous! By the water on the floor inside, I imagine they hose it down pretty regularly...makes it really nice for visitors! I love the "freshness" of this set of barns!
ReplyDeleteWow!! Now thats a barn. They even have a wash room, how neat is that?

ReplyDeleteThat is one beautiful and clean barn. When we visited the Clydesdales in Merrimac, New Hampshire, that's what we found, too: Beautiful and CLEAN.
ReplyDeleteMerrimack that is...
ReplyDeleteoh what a great place! when we were still living in san diego (that's where we are from originally) i'd take the kids to sea world. they have some of the budweiser clydsdales there. there was a baby not too long before we left that we loved to go see. when we left san diego and moved to missouri we went up to stl and toured the budweiser place and grants farm and we were told that the horses from sea world get to go there and retire and i'm almost 100 % sure that we saw that cute baby up there! i can't remember it's name now but it had the same name and was from sea world! small world!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place to take a group of kids...I certainly enjoyed my tour!

ReplyDeleteThe Clydesdales come to Savannah each year for our Saint Patrick's Day parade. They are the number one attraction in the parade. We have seen them in St. Louis a couple of times as well. I never tire of seeing them and I am always in awe of their size, power and beauty.
