I saw this White-crowned Sparrow a couple of weeks ago. I haven't seen him again. Maybe he was just passing through.
I'm glad he stopped in for a visit and stayed long enough for me to get his photo.
Isn't he pretty? I love my feathered friends. They are so much fun to watch at the feeders and I love to hear them singing. The pesky Grackles are still waiting on me to refill the suet feeder and put out the new sunflower seed block so they can quickly devour them. I'm waiting a bit in hopes they will fly elsewhere for their dining pleasure. But I'm thinking they haven't gotten the memo that they are not wanted. All other song birds are more than welcome.
Until next time...
What a beautiful bird... and your photography is spectacular. I have a problem too, with feeding the birds. Hundreds of blackbirds will come and eat everything in just a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteOOOHhhhhh he is pretty. I love his striped head.
ReplyDeleteHow did you get such a nice picture?
GREAT photo, Cheryl! This little guy is sooo cute with his crown. Another miracle in his beauty. blessings ~ tanna

Great photos! I haven favorites and some less favored that frequent my feeders. Funny, though...they all seem to think I've put out the food just for them!!! Really, though, up close I've never thought any were anything but beautiful . Some could use some lessons in etiquette !!! Hehehe

ReplyDeleteYes Dear Cheryl, if only *Lurkers* would say "I was here!" in our comments. Or "Was here and had fun!" Gee, how long does that take?
ReplyDelete-pout- Or how much *inspiration,* does that take. -double pout-
'Cause people sometimes say; "I couldn't think of a unique comment."
