Not sure of the nearest town for this barn, but it's along Hwy 65 going to Branson. I've always thought the shape of it was interesting. This shot was taken quickly from a driveway along the busy highway.
Linking to Tricia's Barn Charm
Until next time...
Great barn, Cheryl... That looks like a fairly large barn --and well-built and well-taken-care-of...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
That is an interesting barn, Cheryl. I've never seen one like that before.
ReplyDeleteI definitely don't remember ever seeing a barn like this one. Very cool! Have a great week Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very unusual shape for a barn, it is quite lovely! So different from the others we see.
ReplyDeleteIt almost looks like the back part was added later. It is intriguing.
ReplyDeleteThe lightning rods on top drew my attention as well.
Lovely find!
I take photographs of barns too. LOVE them. This one you snapped is quite interesting. looks like it was put together over time with an addition here or there.
ReplyDeleteI always wonder what was going through the person's mind when they decided on their barn design. I wonder if part of this barn was an add-on. Love the photo.
ReplyDeleteIt is an interesting shape! What a great shot from a moving vehicle - especially from Hwy 65!
ReplyDeleteThat one is really tall in that front part!! Very interesting!! Cheryl, thank you for your prayers. I can't begin to say how much they are appreciated. Thank you. blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeletesort of looks like a barn on top of another barn. so different in shape. neat. (:
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely interesting Cheryl! Love the wonky gates :) The posts for the fence look like they are dancing! I don't know if I am going to make Barn Charm this week. We were in Springfield all day yesterday and back on the road this morning early!
ReplyDeletethat is an interesting shape! i wonder if i've seen it...we took that route to branson many times while living in mo!
ReplyDeleteYou captured the beauty of the barn for such a quick stop and shoot shot, Cheryl.
ReplyDeleteNicely done!
I've never seen a barn shaped like that! And I know what you mean about those quick shots from a busy highway!
ReplyDeleteI don't think that barn is near me, but if you went 65 to Branson you pretty much passed my house AND you could have waved at me at work.
ReplyDeleteFunny.

Cheryl, there's a new barn in town with exactly this shape. (Have I already mentioned this?) It is so unique and I always expect to see them in the Mid-West so seeing one in my own hometown was great. It certainly doesn't have the vintage charm of this one, however. This one knows some things.
ReplyDeleteIt is an interesting shape...I like that tall part in front. Great drive by shot!!
ReplyDeleteThat is my favorite barn so far with all the different levels.
ReplyDeletereally interesting shape, i am wondering what they used the small square part for. i like it a lot. stormy is staring at me from your side bar, beautiful kittie
ReplyDeleteVery nice barn; it looks to be quite a large one at that.
ReplyDeletealmost like 2 barns in one!
ReplyDeleteGreat shape to this barn. A good find for barn charm!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Cheryl..
ReplyDeleteHope this day finds you full of happiness!
Now, this barn is a little unique. I don't think that I have ever seen one with this type of design...How neat!
Enjoy your day!
oh i adore the shape of this one!! looks like they built a second one, on top of it!!
ReplyDeleteI too really like this shape...Great find!
ReplyDeleteI love the barn's shape and also the varying colours of the boards.
ReplyDeleteIt does have the most interesting shape...I would love to know the reason for the tall part...if you ever find out, post it again on barn charm and tell us.
ReplyDeleteI recognized this barn immediately ;) Will watch for it next time we head to Branson! Nice shot. Sometimes it is a little tricky getting those pictures taken!
ReplyDeleteI'm always surprised that barns come in so many shapes and sizes, especially when you consider that way back when most houses were built in minimal shapes in any given area. And I never tire of seeing all these barns.
ReplyDeleteThat barn is unique, I don't know that I have ever seen one shaped like that. Kind of neat though
ReplyDeleteLooks like it's still together nicely! Great shot!
ReplyDeleteInteresting barn architecture!
ReplyDeleteA fun barn picture as usual. I get so mad that I will see a barn to take a picture and I forget my camera. One of these days I will post one too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the barn picture today.
There must be a book somewhere that explains all these different barn styles!
ReplyDeleteThis barn has some unusual lines to it. The little loft entrance on the from is definitely unusual for our part of the whorl. It looks to be in good working condition.. genie
ReplyDeleteWhat a great capture... wonderful composition! Love the shape of this charming barn... the little square room is cute.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome, Cheryl! I've never seen a barn quite like that. Very unique shape!
ReplyDeleteA very unusual barn, but very appealing. I love the weathered wood.
ReplyDeleteA sweet old barn -- great drive-by photo, Cheryl. :)
ReplyDeleteMost definitely interesting... kinda like they went overboard w/ the cupola! heheheee It's a great barn & I'll try to remember to keep an eye out the next time we hit Branson!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining =)

Now that's a neat old barn- I don't remember it from our trip on that highway, but I'll be sure and look next time. It really does look like one piggybacked onto another.
ReplyDeleteI love old barns and that one is really cool!
