Our 40th anniversary was celebrated by going to KC MO to our son's house. We enjoyed a lovely meal with steak grilled by Son and the rest of the wonderful meal was fixed by his girlfriend. Our daughter went with us and we also got to meet a new member of the family. Here's her photo below and following are a few photos of the trip along the way. There was something in KC that I've been wanting to see, so I will tell you what the girls and I did while the guys watched a movie and basketball...tomorrow.
This is Marley who is 6 months old and the sweetest little puppy I've been around in a long time. She's sitting on the other side of the glass door looking at us with those sad puppy eyes. We had a lot of fun playing with Marley who loves to jump up onto your lap and give you lots of puppy kisses.
Road construction is always ongoing in most cities and KC is no exception.
Here's a guy we saw along I-70 going into KC area.
Sorry this capture isn't very clear, but you get the idea.

The weather was overcast as we turned off I-70 onto 435 heading to north KC where my son lives. The sun came out in the afternoon and it was a very nice day.
We had a wonderful day and got back home after 10 pm. The weather stayed nice in spite of predictions of storms. As I said earlier, I will tell you tomorrow what the girls and I did while the men watched a movie and the start of the basketball game. Son called before we got home to tell his dad the happy news that Dallas won the game. Next is a photo from tomorrow's story. Can you guess where we went? Where are we? *Blogger is playing with me again. I've had a few problems with comments not appearing a few days ago and today the print is changing sizes on me. I have no idea why or what to do about it. If things look kinda off kelter, blame you-know-who!
Until next time... |

Oh, Marley just looks adorable!!! Sweet pup!
ReplyDeleteCan't guess what the last photo is, but waiting to read all about it tomorrow!
Hope you had a marvelous anniversary. This is really the month for it--guess it is that June thing--for a lot of my blog buddies are celebrating.
ReplyDeleteI could refuse that dog nothing.
Happy Anniversary to you and your Hubby Cheryl. I love a trip to KC! Marley is a sweetie and I bet she has Frito Feet! I can't guess the last picture and it is driving me crazy. It's not the art museum?
ReplyDeleteIs that an art museum? A tea shop? Hmmm, where would you like to go with the girls...
ReplyDeleteIs Marley a beagle? Looks like my grandbeagle Jack who is a sweetie, but very hyper.
Dianna: Marley is so sweet that it almost makes me want a puppy, but don't think my kitty would go for it!
ReplyDeleteAR Patti: I've noticed, too, that there seem to be a lot of celebrations this month. Birthdays as well as anniversaries.
Rural Rambler: Hi there! So good to "see" ya. Tune in tomorrow to see where I went!
Vee: Marley is a beagle mix and all his other siblings are of the color black. I think there is one left up for adoption. Hope he gets a good home, too.
Such a cute puppy; I can't guess where you were in KC...although already it looks like some place I'd like to see if I get back there some day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary :) So glad you had a wonderful day! Adorable puppy there!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
Deb: It is a very interesting place to visit.
ReplyDeleteMarcia: Thanks! The puppy is definitely a keeper.
Cheryl, so glad you had a wonderful anniversary celebration (not to mention a trip to look forward to in the fall)! The girls trip looks like it was so much fun!
ReplyDeleteHave to say I love that cone man in the construction area! LOL!
blessings ~ tanna
Tanna: The Cone Man was a "quick, grab the camera" moment and I wish it wasn't so blurry, but had to get a shot. Isn't he cute? lol
