My list, so far...

Good Monday morning!  It's another beautiful day
and a cooler one, too.  We had a nice, but hot weekend.

Finger Lakes State Park near Columbia

We didn't get the rain that we thought we might.
A little bit would be nice.

I'm heading outside to water the flowers just as
soon as I get my list made of what to do or
what needs to be done.  It's slow going for me this
morning.  But that's okay.  I prefer slow these days.

My car needs to be taken to Toyota for an oil change
and inspection this week.
Remind me to stay away from those lovely places
that sell flowers when I go.  I don't need any more!

A roofing contractor is coming tomorrow or
Wednesday to give us an estimate on roofing our
house and rental building.  Now comes the moment
of decision.  What color shingles to choose.  We've
decided against painting the brick, at least for now.

I also need to schedule a haircut this week.
And take my aunt out for lunch.
That's just a few of the things I have on the
agenda.  Now to get on the phone and make the
appointments.

I must add that I started this post
a few hours ago and have gotten sidetracked.

What is on your list for this week?

Until next time...

  2. Wonderful photos! Wish we would have got a little rain, it's so dry. And I don't think a person can have too many flowers. Kind of like shoes. Certain shoes go with certain outfits. That's what I tell my husband anyway. Have a great day! :)

  6. Love the petunias! We had rain on Saturday night and everything is looking good. I spent some time outside this morning and took pictures to show this week. Now I have to spend time inside cleaning house as I'm having company next weekend.
Have a great week but stay away from the flower shops. :0)

Other than that... I don't know!

  10. LOL! I hope you managed to steer clear of the flowers... but, then again, I sure enjoy them when you get more! ;)

I'd need a lot bigger space for my week... and playing here isn't helping me get those things checked off my list. hee hee

  11. Sounds like you're off to a running start this week.

Best of luck with the roofing projects.
Are you going to have metal roofing put on, or shingles?

    Too many things to mention~~LOL!

    Smiles :)

  12. I look forward to the pictures you post. They are always so beautiful. You do have a full week. I always seem to be on the run and I thought at my age I could slow down a bit more. Our Inner City Mission keeps us going in to help take people places and etc. I too need to go visit my Aunt Della this week. She is 97 years old and lives in an assisted living place and she loves for me to come out and have lunch with her.
    Blessings and hugs to you!

  13. I hope you got your list done but not at the expense of this wonderful day and the weather. It's so great, I can't stand it.

I do need to water. I thought it would rain here too.

  15. Your flowers are very pretty! I spent the morning visiting with a friend who has cancer & has just undergone a regiment of trial treatment. She felt well enough that we went to lunch. Flowers are waiting to be planted...hopefully tomorrow! And Thursday I plan on taking Bob's aunt on a 2 hour drive to visit her son's gravesite & hope to make a memory with her!

  16. How can you not get distracted when you have all those lovely flowers and birds around you? My goodness I would be too. You have a lot to do this week, you'll be busy!

My grandson is graduating from 5th grade- they do it big here. lol

  17. That is quite a list you have there.

I was hoping it was going to rain today, but so far nothing. If we don't get it today, there is no rain in the horizon for 10 days.

  18. Shingle colors are an IMPORTANT decision. It took me months to decide. i gravitated back and forth between two. CHANGES the entire look of your house. Good Luck. This week I'm getting out of bed. been stuck there since sat. I threw my back out. then got sniffles, sore throat and 101-102 fever on Sunday. Feel miserable. temp dropped to 99.9 today so there is hope on horizon. take care.
