This month is going by quickly. The Memorial
weekend will soon be here. Do you have
special plans? We will be celebrating a
special birthday. Our wonderful daughter will
be celebrating 40 big ones.
How can that be? It doesn't seem like it
was that long ago that we were teaching her
to drive or attending her graduation from
high school, then college.
She went through a rough patch in her life when
her 13 year marriage to her high school sweetheart
didn't work out. But, that's behind her now and
she's doing great. She has a good job and good
friends and, most importantly, a good heart.
We love her so much.
Happy Birthday, Kim!!
If I don't see my blogging friends before next week,
have a wonderful weekend!
Until next time...
aww. how can you be old enough for a 40 yr old daughter?! :)
ReplyDeletehappy birthday to her. and have a wonderful weekend, dear cheryl!
Forty and Fabulous - May it be her best decade ever!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Kim! It's wonderful to hear her life is happy! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your darling daughter! And Congratulations to her also. For handling life's upsets, so wonderfully!!!!

And Re: your comment in my blog, about yard work. I hear you, on the things which husband says we'll do, and they don't (get done). Your daughter is gonna' be 40. So I figure roughly that you guys are something around 60.
ReplyDeleteEeeeek! Bad times for a man to give up the I-can-do-it-all attitude. I wish you luck. ,-) And certainly don't let him run up in trees, wielding a chain saw!! NO! "Auntie" sezzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
Thankfully here, by now (we are 75 and 78 and thus *olden*), he has finally learned to go along with the fact that there are things which he can not do, anymore. Without it being such a hard thing doe him to do, that is. -grin-
No one wants to get older, but here and there, there actually are perks, to it. :-)))))))))
Lotsa' hugs...

Happy 40th to your daughter. I didn't think you were much older than that. I have 4 daughters all in their 40's. Where do the years go?
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your Daughter. My Daughter turns 40 in August.... Makes me feel old thinking about it.... although most days I don't feel old.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your daughter- it seems we turn around twice and they grow up in a heartbeat!
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl, Happy Birthday to Kim... My youngest (Jeff) just turned 41 on May 14..
ReplyDeleteAs parents, we want our kids to be happy... Glad Kim is doing so well now.. My son Jeff has finally found happiness after some rough patches... SO--I know how you feel...
Have a great holiday... We have no specific plans as of now. We will cook some steaks on the grill --which is a treat for us...
Hugs,
Betsy
