I think I'll call these my Lavender Blue, Dilly, Dilly note cards.
Does anyone besides me remember that old song?
When I was a young teen, my very favorite
color was lavender. I still love this color even
though a few other colors are now my favorites.
I'm linking to my blogging friend Vee's Note Card
party. She hosts this every third Wednesday
of the month and this is my first time at the party.
We are to select 4 photos that have already appeared
on our blog that would make a nice set of note cards.
Hop on over to Vee's to see more Note Cards here.
Until next time...
i remember the song and now i am humming it. beautiful note cards, all of these.
ReplyDeleteDelightful! I love lavender so these make me happy.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, I remember Lavender Blue, Dilly, Dilly. Lavender/purple was my favorite color when I was growing up. I went to a high school that had purple and silver as it's colors.... a very, very long time ago! Interesting how color preferences change. I still like lavender, but adore yellow and green now. Love your images for Note Cards. I'd take a set! Party On!
ReplyDeleteYes, I remember that song! My mom used to sing it to me.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos today; I'm not familiar with the Note Card meme - may just have to join up one day!
Absolutely remember Lavender Blue Dilly Dilly. CH and I love that song, the version done by Leon and Mary Russell. We danced to it up at Summitt Lakes Winery and I did a post about it. I think your pictures would make lovely note cards! Enjoy your MissouREE Wednesday Cheryl!
ReplyDelete♫ Lavender blue, dilly dilly, lavender green...♪ I'll be thanking you all day for that one, Cheryl! ☺
ReplyDeleteLove these cards. I love that you named them. Now that's a first, I believe. Some have given their cards phrases. I'm thinking of Peggy's photo of a garden bench that says "I miss our talks."
Anyway, these are so lovely. Wasn't it fun to wander around in your archives? And isn't it a great way for some wonderful photos to come to light again? Thank you so much for joining in!
Seeing your photos is worth not being able to get that song out of my head now.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards and a perfect name for them- purples of any shade are some of my favorites. These flowers just pop with color.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this. It’s exactly what I was looking for!
ReplyDeleteI remember when my granddaughter was younger, she loved lavender and painted her room that color. I love lavender but have nothing that color in my whole house!

Cheryl, My first time also.
ReplyDeleteI have always been fond of lavender. I would be embarrassed to tell you all the things I painted or bought in lavender as a young married woman. Can we say carpet?
I absolutely love your photos. Love the china piece in the last pic as well.

I remember in the 80s an odd guy named Marillion (sp.?) redid that song and I bought the album b/c I liked it so much.
I need to see if it is on YouTube now, just to hear it again after all these years.
Anyway, I digress, but loved your "cards."
WELL DONE!!
Beautiful, beautiful pictures! I recognize the azaleas and the petunias, the other may be hyacinth? I love purple as well. When I was a teenager, I had my room painted lavender, the painting was started on the day that JFK was shot.
