Barn Charm Tuesday

This barn in mid-Missouri is sitting downhill from
where I was shooting.

An all too familiar sight, an old and unused barn left
standing all alone.

Until next time...

  2. Looks so beautiful sitting there. It is always sad to see them abandoned.

  3. It has such an idyllic setting, it's too bad it can't be converted to a bed & breakfast or reception spot. You got a great shot of this.

  6. There is just too much money required to rescue a barn like this....but it doesn't keep me from dreaming. What a wonderful home this would make with a studio in the loft, overlooking this body of water!

  19. At one time with its sloping roof it was a nice old barn.
I smiled looking at it thinking it's 'legs' didn't look like it could hold itself up.
It sure was in a nice setting!

  22. Isn't it a shame to see such a beautiful barn go to waste! Look at that scene, the barn, pond, all that green... just gorgeous!

A while back I found myself getting too upset about these old barns rotting away to nothing & decided to stop it & just concentrate on the beauty left to see... but, it's really hard when I see these absolutely gorgeous barns falling apart... times are tough, I know, but it would make me so sick if I had one on my property in this condition!

It's kind of a love/hate thing w/ these ol barns... I love them, but hate to see them rot away to nothing! =0

Thank you for sharing this beauty w/ us on Barn Charm, Cheryl =)

  26. What a wonderful old barn! Even it it's old and falling apart, it's PERFECT for photos, with the pond in the foreground and the trees in the back! You should try to get a shot of it again in the fall when the leaves change color.

  32. Hi Cheryl!

So pretty! I love your barn pictures - they just amaze me!

Sounds like you are very busy - so many decisions to make. Good luck with your list! Your petunias are so pretty, and so glad you posted a picture of a Red Winged Blackbird, my favorite! So beautiful in your neck of the woods!

  35. I love old barns! We used to live in central Michigan where there was a round barn. We nicknamed it the "muffin barn."
