  3. Maybe they're just a bit slow. I think they are so beautiful. I have faux ones on my living room window sill. :-) We don't have red buds here at all. Pamela

  5. And your photo has that "bouka" effect or whatever it's called. When up close is clear, and background is fuzzy. and visa-versa. :-) I love it!

You'd think I would remember the name of it, wouldn't you?!? Yishhhhh...

  7. Hope they did not freeze last night! Our temps got to 33 overnight, with wind chill in the 20's. This spring has just been unreal! Twyla

  10. The past few weeks have really brought out the Redbuds and Dogwoods here. They are so pretty. The mountains seem to glow with new growth.

  11. Our redbuds aren't either Cheryl. I think the drought was extremely hard on them. We lost one redbud completely. It was snowing here this morning!

  12. Hi Cheryl, Our weather has been so weird this Spring. We had snow yesterday and it was warmer last night then it had been all day. The snow has melted, but it was muddy. I don't think some of my trees are going to bloom, so I will just enjoy yours. It is 29 degrees this morning, but we have sunshine. Your redbuds are so pretty. Have a great day. Hugs and Prayers from your NW Missouri Friend.

  14. my little tree took a bad hit from the drought the year before and i lost a lot of older growth. thankfully, it has started new shoots so maybe in future years... i only had a handful of blossoms on one lonely branch this spring. (horse manure should be helping...) :)

  21. I have heard that trees that bloom are awesome, every other year!! It is true of my two dogwoods, they are gorgeous on their "good" year, the following year I am always so disappointed!!

So funny they call them red buds, shouldn't they be purple buds?!

  22. But they are still pretty! Enjoy:@)

  23. Aren't they beautiful just before they open up completely? Redbuds are such a welcome sign of Spring!
