I found this barn alongside the highway around the last of March on one of our country drives and got a couple of drive-by shots. You can probably tell I was facing the sun on the first shot. As I drove a little further and looked back for the second shot it looks like a different barn. It's not pretty, but interesting and I like the faded red barn wood.

ReplyDeletethanks for joining
I like how different the back is from the front. The faded red paint adds character but at the same time casts a bit of melancholy to the place.
ReplyDeleteGreat find!:>) It's cool that you were able to get two completely different shots.
It does look like two different barns, funny how you just move a bit and it all changes. I love the shape of this one, it's not one I've really ever seen around my area.
ReplyDeleteohhh i think it's pretty!

ReplyDeleteit is truly a charming barn and i love the first one painted blue by the sun in your face... i like to go in the yard with camera, and change the camera from side to side and top to bottom and backwards to see what the difference is. major difference.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about a barn that we all love? This is an awesome one.
ReplyDeleteO, and, yes we do have a Hobby Lobby and had no idea that i could get a coupon on line. THANK YOU !!!

ReplyDeleteI love all of the interesting angles!
ReplyDeletethe sun on its weathered face is wonderful. :)
ReplyDeletein the words of rod stewart: the morning sun on your face really shows your age. :)
That barn has history and a story to tell and that might be more important than "pretty." ☺
ReplyDeleteLooks rustic and that makes for great barn photos! : )
ReplyDeleteThe fading red, it looks a bit like something one would do on purpose to make it looked weathered, a great barn find!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the old red barns with faded wood. Something quaint and nostalgic about them.
ReplyDeleteI love the different lighting in the photos - it makes such a difference. This one has a very interesting roof line, and I do love the chippy red.
ReplyDeleteI too, like the faded red....
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how different pictures come out when you have different lighting? I also like the huge opening at the top...
Neat!
It's awesome Cheryl. Looks like a good wind would bring it down. But I bet it's weathered many a storm.
ReplyDeletePretty! This looks familiar. I had my camera but was in a melancholy/lazy mood on the way back from CoMO on 63 the other day, and didn't even get it out.. although there are several nice barns along the way! Very nice capture - love the reds always! -Tammy
ReplyDeleteI love the texture on the second barn. GREAT!
ReplyDeleteLight does make such a difference...I kinda like the blue in the first image; makes it look very different....of course, the red shows up so much more in the second shot....both great shots....
ReplyDeleteOld barns have so much charm...
It's another beauty!!
ReplyDeleteThese are aged and have character - like me. lol sandie
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, glowing barn!!
ReplyDeleteIt really does look like 2 different barns. I love the faded red color too.
ReplyDeleteLove the barn. Barns are so regional. In New York state we ran across circular barns which was pretty interesting. Plus I have a china barn collection.
