The sun was shining...
The birds were singing...
New visitors are seen swimming at the pond...
Even two of the kitties, Truman and Sissy, enjoyed getting outside...
It was such a beautiful, warm day. The sun felt good and we decided to do a little yard clean up in the afternoon. There were limbs that had fallen during the snow storm that needed dragging off to the Back 6, hence the lawn tractor sitting out. Because, while the grass is getting greener, it isn't time to mow yet!
I hope your Easter weekend was beautiful, too. Did you boil eggs or have ham? Maybe a lot little bit of chocolate?
Until next time...
Such a pretty little blue bird! I've already mowed once..it's those durn weeds!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you too Cheryl.
ReplyDeleteA lovely post showing your spring,I wish ours would come soon,we still have snow on the mountain and it is so cold, nothing is growing.I think this will be the coldest April 1st on record.!!
Have a good week,
Carolyn.
Morning Kimberly, glad the day was so beautiful, loved the pictures......Sweet new visitors to the pond.....Happy April 1st, Francine.
ReplyDeleteWe had a couple of glorious days here, today it is suppose to rain and turn to snow..... Go away winter!! I am so ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteLove your photos. Just a few days ago, I took a photo of a Bradford pear tree with the sky in the background - similar to your first picture.
ReplyDeleteAnd I did a little lawn clean up on Saturday too.
Sweet kitties on the lawn tractor!
love those tractor riding cats.. cool cats to say the least. it was beautiful here also, we sat out by the pool and soaked up the sun and the doves were cooing and calling...
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear that warm weather has come to your area! I am just a bit sad that I didn't get to spend Easter in Arrow Rock like we'd planned. My husband is in the hospital, most likely coming home today. Have a wonderful week! Twyla
ReplyDeleteI had the best Easter Sunday ever. Great church service and Easter dinner out with my daughter.
ReplyDeleteThe birds were so happy here, I could hardly hear myself think. :)
blue skies, bluebirds, and blue-winged teals! :)
ReplyDeletecute kitties guarding the tractor.
-happy sigh- What lovely Spring Time photos! Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteLove days like that! We haven't had any quite that good yet. Still waiting.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
That is looking like my part of the country, minus the blue bird. The sparrows eliminated my blues several years ago. Too sad.
ReplyDeleteLove your tractor driving kitty.
Those photos make me FEEL GOOD! sandie
ReplyDeleteThe sky is so pretty! Are those birch trees? And your bluebird close up is fabulous!! Glad you had a nice weekend with good weather!
ReplyDeleteIt truly WAS a beautiful day!
ReplyDeleteTruman and Sissy look picturesque sitting on that tractor. Glad you had a lovely Easter. we did too.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Cheryl! MissouREE out did itself yesterday. It was beautiful. I had all the windows open on the sun porch and we played outside.. :) No chocolate, no ham, no boiled eggs. Steaks and potatoes on the grill with a salad! Enjoy your Easter Monday! Sunny here! Love those kitties!
ReplyDeleteI loved the pictures and thoughts today. The picture of that bird was so beautiful. You are so blessed to live in such a great area.
ReplyDeleteYes, I did have some chocolate on Easter. Actually, I have it every day. However, this was a chocolate egg with raspberry filling; so it was extra tasty.
Blessings and hugs!
We had a grand Easter road trip visiting with the grandkids and had an Easter egg hunt and also colored eggs. The 20 month o,d granddaughter had as much color on her hands as on the eggs. Weather also cooperated with temps in the 50s. We put Hershey kisses and $ in the plastic eggs and only 6 large ones for each child. And, yes each received a small chocolate bunny and package of Peeps.
ReplyDeleteWe've got your nice day, Cheryl, today --but Easter here was lousy (rainy/cold/dreary)... I felt sorry for the children that wanted to get outside and hide Easter Eggs.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, Spring will NOW come to our area... You won't believe the photos I put on my blog today--showing the differences between March of 2012 and March of 2013...
Great set of photos... Gives me HOPE.
Hugs,
Betsy
Looks so pretty where you are Cheryl. Our lawn is brown dirt - not sure we'll see much grass for awhile! I like your lawn mower helpers. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter Cheryl. You love your birdies just as much as I do! I was reading in Birds and Blooms that fruit, especially oranges, pears and bananas, attract birds like the Orioles, Indigo Buntings, purple finches and many others. They suggest peeling a couple of bananas part way, but leaving them hooked together and hanging them from a shepherd hook. Going to try to sweeten my birds up with fruit!
ReplyDeleteWe spent our Easter in Branson. Beautiful part of the time and rainy part. It was interesting. Hope to do a blog on it soon.
Beautiful pictures! Now if the temps would get just a little warmer.
It does look like you had a beautiful Easter Sunday...not quite that warm here, and there are very few signs of spring yet. And yes, we had ham and yes, I had chocolate, it's Easter right??
ReplyDeletei never knew that kitty cats would mow the grass? such a great post. i'm ready for spring. it was a nice day around here & then the winds started up & are calling for cold temps & rain the rest of the week. boo hiss hiss. oh well i will stay springy in my mind. ( :
ReplyDeleteI had a wonderful Easter and so glad you did as well....Your pictures are great but my all time favorite is the cat driving the tractor...Do you think he would give Simon lessons.....
