An early gift

Sunset photo taken a week or so ago from my front yard.

It's less than 2 weeks until Christmas!  Are you ready?  I'm getting there slowly but surely.  Our bathroom remodel has been postponed until after Christmas.   We have stripped off the old wallpaper and hope to get a bit of painting done yet, but the major portion of the work will wait and I'm really glad that I won't have to worry about not having it available to use around the holidays.

Hubby and I got our Christmas gift for each other yesterday.  While our son was visiting this weekend and could help put it together, we bought a new treadmill.  Our old treadmill wasn't working properly and we hadn't used it in a year or so - and it shows!  The new one is very nice and now I just need to get myself motivated to use it every day.  My left knee has been hurting quite a bit lately and I've not wanted to injure it further by walking on uneven ground, so I'm hoping the treadmill will be a good thing.

Stormy survived the visit by Marley but we discovered something over the weekend about her.  She seems to only turn into a tiger (see photo above) around humans, she turns her fluffed-out tail and runs when confronted by a dog!  (and the vacuum)

Until next time...

  2. LOL.... How funny Stormy is. I had a dog that would bark everytime I turned on the vacum. I got so sick of it that I grabbed him, held him down and vacumed him. After that I still couldn't turn the vacum on because NOw... he wanted vacumed. I couldn't win.

  3. That is so cute about Stormy. And I think it is a great idea to put the project off for just a little while. Good luck and be careful on your new treadmill. Hope your knee is okay too. sandie

  5. Nope not ready. Yay for new treadmills and smart parents getting the kiddo to put it together for you!

Seems wise to put the bathroom project on hold. I've put a few projects on hold myself.

    Simply gorgeous sunrise!

  6. Treadmill good gift, but listen to your body. It will tell you when to stop.

  7. Too funny that her toughness goes away in the company of dogs!

When you mentioned that you had stripped the wallpaper but that the major work is ahead, I couldn't help thinking about how MAJOR wallpaper stripping is. I'd sooner do most any home reno before I do that again. Ugh!

  13. I need something like a treadmill...so bad.

I love that sky view, and yes I am about ready for Christmas. I will need to go shopping for food items...I picked up the ham today since they were on sale but really have to sit down with girls and make a list of what we are making.
