It's Wednesday already!

  This is a test.
A Shamrock Shake and a Chocolate Shake...guess which one is mine?
Just seeing if you remembered anything from my list of 65 things.  :D

I just know you are all dying to know the answer.
It'll be at the end of the post.

This is what you see on the table in the photo above this one.  My daughter and I had the shakes and a game of Mexican Train going.  I lost.  I seem to be on a losing streak lately when it comes to games.  I also lost quite a few card games recently.  I don't even want to talk about it.  (Son, you can quit laughing now.)

We had snow yesterday and I was worried about my geese that I know must be egg-sitting by the pond.  But today the sun came out and it warmed up and there they were taking a little swim on the pond.  I'm anxious to see how many little ones they have.  Just hope the coyote or fox don't get them.

I'm not making as much progress on the spring cleaning as I'd like to.  I seem to get sidetracked all too often.  We cleaned in the basement and threw away a bunch of stuff and have quite a bit more to do.  Next on the agenda is to get someone lined up to put on the shingles.  I've We've decided on the architectural shingles instead of the metal roofing.  And  we will soon tackle a bathroom.  I'm still grumbling about that one...but Hubby thinks that we can do it fairly easily.  I know how these things go...this time next year, we'll still be trying to finish putting up the beadboard.  :D

What projects do you have going this spring?  I hope to post more often than I have been, but you know how it is when you get busy and time slips away.  If I can't post, I'll try to at least visit!  Have a great Wednesday!

Until next time...

*The flavor of choice is.....Chocolate!

  1. Good Morning Cheryl! I guessed choc-co-lot and I see that one of them is definitely green but the other one looks like a pistachio color! Why I am blabbing about the colors I don't know. Never played Mexican Train! We have been looking for someone to repair and put up new guttering but they never show up. We are not good as home project doers and get ourselves in trouble all the time. We call now and have someone who knows what they are doing do the job and pray that they show up. No big projects this Spring here. Just the usual mulch and clean up outside. Have fun today Cheryl, it is going to be pretty. We are headed to Columbia on an errand and I am going to try to work in Mandarin House or White Castles!

  2. We have some Canadian geese around our property. Last year, a pair had several little ones. But a predator took care of them shortly - not sure what it was, but it was sad when there were no little ones left to waddle along behind the parents..... :(

No spring projects, although I could do some serious cleaning....

  6. I remembered chocolate from your list because when I read it I thought that was one of the things we had in common.
Mexican Train is a game that I've seen on a few blogs but have never played.
Spring is a great time for new projects. I'm afraid due to lingering back problems, I'm just hoping to be able to do some gardening without aggravating anything further :(.

    Good luck with your projects.

  7. Oops, I guessed wrong. My Irish side influenced the decision.
I keep thinking tomorrow will be the best day to start Spring cleaning. So far tomorrow keeps turning into today so I keep searching for tomorrow.
    How about---soon.

  8. I need to tackle my basement as well. Trying to keep up with sweeping has become a chore, everything is shedding at my house! I also did some of my windows and then it snowed. Ugh! Have a great day! That game looks like fun!

  9. Oh I definitely voted chocolate! The shake and game sounds like a lot more fun than cleaning any day.

  10. Hi Cheryl, I knew you were a chocolate gal!!!! I am a Vanilla Shake person myself...

Hope your nesting geese are okay... A Colorado blog friend said that the coyotes killed one of their new calves recently. How sad!

Spring cleaning???? What is that??? ha ha ... I do need to give our home a DEEP cleaning including windows... BUT--that's just not too important right now... ha ha

Hubby is redoing one of our rose flowerbeds --so he has his little project going now.

    Have a good day.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  11. Chocolate would have been my flavor of choice too.

I'm having trouble getting motivated in accomplishing my spring project too. The ups and downs of this weather hasn't helped much.

Or inside projects are pretty much completed. We are heading to the great outdoors and flower beds.

  12. Woohoo!!! I knew it was the chocolate...mine too!

My motto is if it's not chocolate...it's not worth the calories!!!

We had some snow Sun. and Mon...enough to turn the ground white the fade away!

I have a million and one outside projects this year I'd love to complete.

God bless ya and may the luck of the Irish rain on you today!!! :o)

  13. Hmmm, those shakes look good. Sounds as if you're in premature spring cleaning mode. I wish that I could get there. I'm going to backtrack to see which shake you'd prefer...I'm thinking chocolate.

I've worked on my sun room and have been planting some flowers, they are blooming away! I love spring!

    Happy Spring!
