Happy St. Patrick's Day

Do you have your Irish on?  Whether you are really Irish or just Irish for the day, do you celebrate or maybe fix an Irish dish on this special day?  Do tell!

We have sunshine today after waking up to a little snow yesterday and that was after having turned the a/c on in my car the day before that because it was so warm!

Have a fun day!

May God grant you always
A sunbeam to warm you,
A moonbeam to charm you,
A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you.

Until next time...

  5. No corned beef and cabbage, but I'm thinking a Shamrock Shake is in order. You've had some wild weather swings. Hope that it warms up for you and all of us! Happy St. Pat's!

  6. My mother's family emigrated from Ireland in the early 1900s. I'm afraid the men were all scoundrels-stereotypical but true.

  8. Oh yes, I've been wearing some sort of irish green every day since Friday. It's more like a week long celebration around here. :-) We do have Irish on both sides of the family, but have to go back several generations to get there. Our more recent connection is through the Irish dancing community here. Happy St Pat's to you!!

I hope Spring will be kinder than winter has been. I've heard late snow brings lots of spring flowers--it is nature's fertilizer!

  25. Sounds like you had a great St. Patrick's Day, Cheryl. We didn't do anything special --other than to wear our green today.

Our weather here was horrible (rain/ice/COLD --34 degrees all day long/lots and lots of FOG... Not very spring-like for sure...

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  28. Well I love your Irish post. I hope you had a good luck day. Ireland is one place I would like to visit. I have Scottish ancestors who during a war moved into Ireland.
It's a great day to celebrate.

  35. Belated Irish day wishes to you and yours. Pat/Grenville is the Irishman here and we put the corn beef and cabbage with soda bread on our dinner menu and added in the Guinness for good measure.
