Springtime

I've been on a blogging break.  It was totally unplanned and I
really didn't intend to be away so long.

I did some heavy cleaning about a week or so ago and I moved/lifted too
many heavy things and it caused my back to flare up again plus
I've had some sinus/vertigo issues.

So nothing exciting like a vacation or trip kept me away, just lack of time and energy for the computer.

This is a beautiful Spring and we've had rainy days and wonderful sunny days this past week.
The redbuds in our yard are blooming their little hearts out this year.  They are one of my
favorite flowering trees.

The lilacs are also blooming now.  I can't remember when they've been this early.

The Goldfinch still hasn't changed into his yellow summer wardrobe yet.

Speaking of wardrobes, I did get my spring/summer things out of
storage.  It is nice to wear something that isn't heavy for warmth.

I'll get around to all the blogs I read soon and see what you have been
up to.  Hope you are enjoying beautiful spring weather wherever you are!

Until next time...

  12. Welcome back! Your spring bloom are beautiful. We had summer here last week but it's back to spring (almost winter) this week, sadly. It was in the mid to high 70's and now it's 32! Brrrr. Our snow is gone though. I noticed the goldfinches here are about the same colour as yours - no new feathers yet! They are so pretty aren't they? Have a great week. Pamela

  16. I have been taking pictures of the redbuds, too. But your are better, you got great macros!!! I know how it goes with the computer breaks getting longer than planned...life and health just happens. I hope you don't have a sinus infection. I have had the vertigo really bad, it is no fun. sometimes Dramamine works.

  17. So sorry to hear that you have had back troubles... A lot of that going around, as they say. -sigh-

Beautiful photos! You are really well into spring, with the blooms to prove it. :-)

Hope you are still being nice to your back, even though feeling better. Our backs really *demand* special treatment, I believe. Or they "get back at" us. -grin-

    Gentle hugs...

  19. Welcome back, Cheryl!
I just got back from a whirlwind trip to visit family, so I haven't been posting either.
I'm sorry about your back-I deal with the same problem. I hate the limitations it's put on my life now
    I hope you'll heal quickly.
How blessed you are to have spring already! I'm still waiting on it.
    Hugs-Kimberly
