Just another day...

You see that shameless little flirt in the center?   That little gal is celebrating a birthday today!

I've been under the weather for awhile, so excuse the lack of a new photo since I haven't had the camera in my hand in days.  I could have dug through my old photo albums, but that requires energy that I haven't yet got.  This flu bug has been a booger.  And did I mention my back was acting up again?   I hope to get back to blog reading and commenting real soon, I can't wait to see what all of you have been up to.  I am getting better, slowly but surely!

The weather has been gorgeous and warm the last few days and I've been sitting out in the sun for short periods of time hoping the sun would burn away the flu bugs.  And, I've been making mental notes of what I should add to my ever growing to-do list.  One thing I've discovered about growing older, the to-do lists are less important than they used to be.  If it all gets done, that's great!  And if not, <insert shrug here>.

I've found the only good thing about being sick is that I get out of kitchen duty!  It's been soup, sandwiches, and fast food around here.  I think the birthday girl is feeling like something more substantial for dinner now.   Hmmmm.  Wonder what I can get ordered for me tonight?

Until next time...

  3. If you have the cough... it takes forever to get rid of it.

My Hubs is still coughing. I fared better than he did... but only because I was taking grapefruit seed extract.

  8. Oh my gosh, what an adorable photo!! Don't feel guilty about not taking photos recently when you can come up with such precious ones from the archives.
I'm sorry to hear that you are still under the weather on your special day. I hope you still find happiness and maybe a piece of cake to celebrate.
I think you are so right about the importance of the to do list at this stage of life. It may be one of the few good things about aging :-).
Happy Birthday Cheryl and I'm sending healing thoughts your way.

  23. Happy Birthday!

I hope you are feeling 100% very soon. We both had the flu back in December and I sympathize with you.

That is the cutest picture I have ever seen. You should have it enlarged and framed.

  24. Such a cute little girl you were! Happy Birthday Cheryl! AND I really do hope you feel 100% soon. One thing about being sick, the spirit is willing, but the body says no. Tell your spirit to slow down and let the body get better! Take care my friend, Susan

  26. Oh I'm so glad that I didn't miss this one. You are such a cutie pie! I love that photo. Who are the two little boys? Twins? Brothers? Cousins? One looks mighty annoyed by missing out on your attentions.

Hope that you are feeling back to your normal self soon. Nasty old flu bug!

  28. Sorry I missed your post yesterday, but I was busy helping my daughter celebrate hers! Mine is the 20th, a grandson's the 23rd, & a few more cousins splattered throughout the month. I love March! ; )

Hope you are feeling much better soon. I know about the back problems too. It seems that my knee problem makes me walk different, causing my hip to hurt, causing back pain. Getting old is for the birds!

    Happy Belated Birthday!
