On a train bound to nowhere...remember that line in the old Kenny Roger's song?  This photo taken a couple of weeks ago made me think of the song and got me to wondering if there is a town actually called Nowhere somewhere.  Now maybe everyone already knew this but me, but I had to google and found that there actually is a Nowhere in Oklahoma.   It is in the unincorporated county of Caddo in OK.  It even has a zip code.  Also, there is a place called Nowhere in Arizona with a whopping big population of 5.   I don't believe I saw a zip code for that one.  I love to find little tidbits like these.  Somewhere out there....I love that song, too....is a Nowhere!  Which now leads me to think of the Beatles song.  Name that song!  Okay, I'll quit now.

Where is your train headed this weekend?  Are you staying at home and resting up from the previous holidays or do you have projects in mind to tackle or will you be on the road to somewhere? Wherever your train stops or even if it doesn't leave the station, I hope your weekend is a good one!

Until next time...

  3. The train stops right here as we clean up from Christmas and prepare for that new stove coming first thing Monday morning. Train isn't leaving the station Monday either as I plan on using said stove for some real food. =)

I enjoyed reading all that you found out. I could spend way too much time on Google exploring answers to my questions. I'm glad that you did some of it for me! =)

Great photo too! Makes me want to walk the rails.

  6. Very nice. I like train track scenes. It took a couple seconds, but I then recalled "Nowhere Man" by the Beatles.

My train today is headed on a shopping trip with a girlfriend. Tomorrow, the train that hubby and I will be on will be heading to.....(we haven't decided yet.). So far it's a mystery train!
    Neat post, Cheryl!

  18. My train is stationed in Norman, Oklahoma. I'm an Oklahoma transplant and have not heard of Nowhere, Oklahoma. That means, I must do some research and find out exactly where Nowhere is in comparison to Norman. Then I will jump on that train and visit Nowhere. You have me intrigued!
    Enjoy your weekend!

  25. My train is stuck in the station, waiting on this nasty cold to clear out. I made it to church, but had to leave in the middle of it because I couldn't get my cough under control. Maybe by end of the week I can get out and about.

  26. Oh, my train has got to get moving. It has been parked at the station way too long. This week, I have to do some serious cleaning in the living room, finish an art project, and take some baby steps on my quest to organize my studio better. Have a good day.
