A Message from Stormy

Hi!  Stormy here.  I'm writing this post for my mom today.  She has been doing what she calls a Friday Favorite where she shows a photo of something that was a favorite of hers in the past.  Well, I'm still very much a part of her present but she's always telling me that even though she loves the other kitties, I'm her favorite

My mom is fine, but she's just bummed out about the weather.  She loves Spring and can't wait to get outside and get the flower gardens ready and get the patio ready for summer fun.  The weather has been cold and she told Dad that she is just plain tired of it.  He agreed with her.  Me, well I don't mind the weather because I stay in the house regardless of what's going on outside, so I can't say that I quite understand what all the fuss is about.  I mean, she just went out yesterday and left me in charge.  She always tells me I'm in charge of things when she leaves.

Peanut doesn't like Sissy and they sometimes get into a fight, but I just give them "the look" so they won't tear up too much.  Peanut just rearranged the throw rugs in the kitchen like she likes to do and flipped the food out of the bowl to play with. Gee, except for Truman who is lazy and sleeps most of the time, it's exhausting keeping an eye on them.

I know Mom had some grocery shopping to do, but I know she also went by that flea market she likes because she brought in a couple of sacks of stuff from there.  I tried to snoop in the bags, but she got after me.  Sheesh, after all the work I did while she was gone!!  Maybe she'll show us what she got next week.  She said that we might get some more snow over the weekend and if it did that she would try to finish one of those inside projects that she's started.

She wants me to tell you to have a wonderful weekend!  I plan to, right now I feel a nap coming on.   Yawn!  (Do you think she'll let me do another post sometime?)

Until next time...

  3. That first picture is just an awesome capture of you Stormy. Trust me, if you had to stick your paws in the cold wet stuff, you would want spring also.

  7. Stormy, you are adorable and I know you're a good kitty for your mommy. Please tell her that snow in spring is good for the soil and gardens so she'll have really pretty flowers this summer ok? And tell her we had 18 inches of snow on the first day of spring and won't see flowers for a long time yet. I think she'll feel much better don't you? I hope you get to see what was in those bags this weekend. Be good now. :-)

  8. Oh Stormy, do keep taking care of your Mama. I understand how she feels that she is just SICK AND TIRED OF COLD! -pout- And poor me, I don't have a kitty, to take care of things.

Please whisper in Mama's ear, that I was trying to do a perk-myself-up post today. I do hope she will come over, and click on my link to a sweet post, and.... Wellllll.... Like I said, try to "Get her bunny on" or something.

I never heard that phrase. I think I made it up. I sure hope, that it isn't out there, in some awful Urban Dictionary, and means something awful. I hope. -sigh-

But nahhhhh, I'm just not gonna' worry about it. No people in Pretty Blog Land, who would know an 'awful meaning' of a phrase anyway.

    :-)

  11. Aww, Stormy, I want to kiss your furry face. I'm tired of the snow -- another 6 inches today. I'm thinking of moving to Alaska for a warmer climate.

  12. Stormy I hope she lets you do another post because you did an excellent job! You are a fine kitty to leave in charge. I so understand how your Mom feels about our Missouri weather and I have a cranky on this morning over it. I want to be outside! Tell your Mom to have a great weekend even though SNOW is on the way!

  13. You are one cute kitty, Stormy, dear. Mom really should appreciate you more when you work so hard, but you know us humans... we are sometimes inconsiderate. Maybe she'll think to give you an extra treat or two.

Don't be too hard on mom about her flea market find... it is a sickness. Trust me. I know!

  14. I hope she lets you do another post, this one was great... Jake never bothers rugs or anything in the house, but baby moves things around, drags CD's out of the cabinet onto the floor, chews the rugs to smitereens and she will not grow out of it because she is 12 now... oh well.

  16. Stormy, you are adorable. I can see why Mom leaves you in charge when she goes out... keeping an eye on those other little trouble makers and all. I'm tired of the snow too. It was great in December and January. Not so much by the end of March. It's almost Easter for goodness sake!

  17. Dear Stormy,
You did a wonderful job of documenting your day babysitting, and I bet there were extra treats in the grocery bags for you. I think it is wonderful that your mom can trust you to keep the home fires burning while she is away. Enjoy your weekend and take a nice rest as you have certainly earned it.
Btw you are so adorable, but of course you already know that, don't you.
    Blessings,
    Sue

  20. Oh Stormy, you are so cute!! Glad you can be in 'charge' when Mama is gone. BUT--can't you at least fix the rug in the kitchen and clean up the food bowl??????? That's what good helpers do, you know!!!!

Tell Mama to have a great weekend --and stay WARM during this STILL-WINTER weather.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  21. Hey Stormy I enjoyed your post. I know a couple cats that you could pal around with named Mira and Dara. They live here with me but have the same personality you do.

  23. You're a very good writer, Stormy. Tell your mama that spring will be here very soon. Tell her to get a grip and try to help her out by wrapping yourself around her ankles or lying down beside her just to let her know you care.

  24. Stormy, you are a pastel beauty!!!! Tell mom we really want to see the things she bought! Our house must be like yours...Sunny says to tell you that our other two cats hate each other, so you and he need to be the peacemakers.

  28. Oh Stormy... Me... Abby is saying Hello.
My mom leaves me in charge sometimes too but I dont have another messy cat to look after. I mess up the rug by myself just because it is fun to do.
My mom doesnt like the cold weather either, she said she is fed up. I wouldn't mind if the window was open so I could smell stuff. I wonder is the thing called spring will ever come?

  32. You should be a writer!

You make a cat's life so interesting that it makes me go find our cat and take a look to see if it has any of these features you speak about?

I do know that our dog, Pepper Jax, must have a lot to say because he will actually leave the room when the cat comes in.

I need to learn more about cats and dogs but at my age, "going on 79," I'm running out of string.
