Surely this will be the last one. I'm speaking of snow storms here. We got 6 inches or so of snow yesterday, but thankfully it didn't cause any power outages like the last one.
I do know we need the moisture. We had such a dry summer that we lost several of our evergreen trees like the one above that hasn't been cut down yet. We're waiting for warmer weather for that job. We need to figure out what to put in their place once they are removed. Several of these trees serve as a privacy screen between our house and the busy highway in front.
So, we have a white and chilly start to our week. Spring will undoubtedly get here, but right now it seems to be taking it's sweet time. Hope you have nice weather to start your week!
Until next time...
pouring snow here since yesterday afternoon. wild considering it is spring. ha. ha!! can't wait to take some more pics.
ReplyDeleteyou enjoy your snowy sights. have a great week. ( :
Ugh..snow! Cold here, just wish we would get some rain. We are still in drought mode.
ReplyDeleteSnowing here this morning. :(
ReplyDeleteUggghhhh.... we got more snow here too..... Where is SPRING??? So sick of winter.
ReplyDeleteYes it is pretty and it really is moisture but come on now, March is almost over. We only got 2 inches of snow but then we got a day of heavy rain, 2 days of 24 hour drizzle and heavy winds. I'll take the moisture but I so want to get my hands dirty.
ReplyDeleteMaybe April??
Morning, oh boy.....more of the white stuff fell on you....Still no Spring here either....Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteso sad you lost your trees to the drought... it will take a lifetime for them to get that big again... hope spring comes soon for you
ReplyDeleteWe have at least 6 new inches of snow this morn...we got about three yest. morn...it mostly melted and then we got this new. It is a beautiful world out there!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea that the moisture is helping our drought situation but I NEED to sit in some sun Under the Oaks! I have to get out of this house!! Sorry about your evergreens. We have lost more Oaks than I thought possible to the drought and last snowstorm and this one has broken the tops off a few of our cedars. The trees have been taking a beating!!
ReplyDeleteThere is some kind of fungus killing a lot of huge evergreen trees. I haven't seen any Norway Spruce dying from it, although a couple of my baby ones succumbed to the drought.
ReplyDeleteLuckily we were spared from this storm, it stayed south. And yes the moisture is welcome, I counted 5 trees lost in the drought.
ReplyDeleteTry Arborvites, they grow really fast.
The snow does make for pretty pictures.
Another one of the "Snow Bunnies" in pretty blog land.
ReplyDeleteHappily, our snow is melting...
So far..........
yay! glad your hubby didn't have to deal with all the outages!!! sure is pretty.
ReplyDeleteYes it is beautiful but I know you are like the rest of us we are really ready for spring....So glad you didn't have to deal with outages.....
ReplyDeletesuch beautiful snow pictures, love snow, but i do hope spring comes your way soon!

Bless your heart...when I heard the weather forcast, I pretty much figured that several of my blogging friends were gonna be seeing the white stuff again.
ReplyDeleteI know you are so ready for Spring. I had to cover my plants last night because of a heavy frost...so glad I did..

I hope it's the last one too. I've been shoveling all day.
ReplyDeleteWell---your snow is gorgeous, Cheryl. Even though all of us want it to be SPRING, I still think that snow is pretty. We have it here too--as you will see when you get to my post today...
ReplyDeleteLet's HOPE for SPRING.
Hugs,
Betsy
i'm really hoping this is it!
ReplyDeleteOkay I know this doesn't help but it was very beautiful! And it is very cold in GA too!
ReplyDeletesandie
Oh no! I don't like that picture. We're supposed to be seeing those Eastern Bluebirds like you have on your sidebar. Aren't they beautiful creatures! Snow go away. Birds, please don't give up and leave.
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here, but thankfully no snow. It's beautiful but makes me get goosebumps!
ReplyDeleteNo snow here, but it's cold and very windy.
ReplyDeleteWow that's a lot of snow you received! Glad to hear the power didn't go out and hope it melts soon for you.
It looks pretty from where I sit Cheryl ~:)
ReplyDeleteSorry I couldn't resist telling the truth- It was 80 here today in south Fl.
brrrrr, it does make for some beautiful pictures!!
ReplyDeleteI know you are sick of the snow, but the pictures are just so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of the snow are beautiful. We had two snow storms here; but it melted quickly. I am so ready for spring.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
I am hoping this is it for the snow too. Snow photos are still beautiful though. As are your header photos.
ReplyDeleteI was so surprised to hear there was another big snow storm coming. It's too late in the year, it seems so out of place.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, enjoy your last snow if you can, and three cheers for Spring (it's coming, lol, I know it).
Beautiful photos, but I know you're ready for spring! Snow this late in the season is just depressing...
ReplyDeleteDon't answer that! I see that you did get the storm. And how. Yes, may it be the last one. Enough is enough, especially when Old Man Winter is hanging on long past his season.
ReplyDeleteThe snow we got last weekend has almost all melted, but I heard today that Denver declared drought precutions and water restrictions. It sound slike it will be a long, dry summer. :(
