Barn Charm

This barn scene was taken in Iowa last week.  They had a bit more snow
than we didMy son shot this with his iPad mini.  Can you believe I had my camera but when I got ready to shoot I discovered I'd left my camera card behind!  That'll teach me to keep a spare card handy.  We saw some nice barns along the way and Son snapped several for me.  The day was overcast and we were moving right along, but I still have a few barns that are good enough to share in the next few weeks.  I always love to find a red barn in the snow!

Stop by Tricia's Barn Charm
to see other barns around the country.

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time...

  1. The red barns in the snow are beautiful! We bought tickets to a very important show last week. It was an hour and a half away. The whole point was to take pictures. I started snapping and...NO camera card! It was home in my computer!!! We exchanged the tickets for the next day, went home and came back the next day.

  4. What a pretty snow scene! I like the style of the barn but sure wouldn't want to have to re-do the roof. ;-)

Also wanted to say that I enjoyed the post prior to this, with the Super Bowl commercials. I had not seen either; both are wonderful. Thanks for posting them.

  7. One of life's little lessons. You'll probably never leave the house again without a card, just as I'll probably never leave without a spare battery - sigh. It's a good thing your son had his iPad to catch this lovely snowy scene!

  8. Only thing better than a barn is a barn covered in snow. A son with a camera is a great back up.

  10. That's a beauty and you're so right, a red barn in snow is beautiful. In fact, this reminds me of the painting Nita Leger Casey did of a red barn in the snow just recently. It may still be sitting just your post in my blogroll.

  17. GORGEOUS! I hate it when I leave the camera card in my computer. So frustrating! The contrast of the red and white is so so pretty!
