~Stormy and Peanut~
I had written a post (in my head) about these two feline friends and thought I'd just sit down and quickly type it up and find a pic to go with it for my post today. That was about 4 hours ago. I got sidetracked by phone calls, laundry and an unexpected little trip I need to make in a short while. Does that ever happen to you? Now I have no clue what clever things I was going to share. I did want to ask if you allow your pets on your bed to sleep with you? If that is too personal a question to ask, just ignore it! I'll talk more about that when I have more time.
Last week, little Peanut had her surgery that all little female felines should have when they are around 5 months old. That meant 3 trips to the vet. The last visit was to check the area of her incision which seemed to be too large. She was declared to be in good shape and is doing well, in spite of all the running and jumping she wasn't supposed to be doing.
Now, I'm off to take care of that unexpected business. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. My prayers and thoughts continue to be with those who have been affected by Sandy.
Until next time...
they're adorable! sorry for the side-trackedness of your day! :)
ReplyDeletei used to allow my yellow lab to sleep on the bed with me (if i was in bed alone) but when she got too old to jump up there, i stopped allowing any other pups up there. keeps things simple and equal. marigold was a diva. :)
They're cuties. I get sidetracked all the time and then wonder where the day went. Yes, one of our 2 cats sleeps on the bed and hogs as much room as he can.
ReplyDeleteCute kitties. Hope you get all your doings done so you can enjoy the weekend!
ReplyDeleteOhhh Ohhh what sweet kitties. I wish I had a pal for my Abby but I'm afraid now that she has everything to herself she may not accept another cat.
ReplyDeleteShe not only sleeps on my bed. She sleeps on me. She'll actually pat my leg with her paw if I'm not in the right position.
Have a great weekend!
Your blogging question... This is going to sound way-over-the-top but... I jot ideas down in a little note pad. Well, sometimes I do.
ReplyDeleteTrouble is, I seem to be so *dern*-chatty, that I usually have too many things to talk about. -sigh- So I just can not fathom people who say they can't think of anything to blog.
Guess that means, they have a way higher setting than I do, as to what-to-blog. For me, it's about whatever pops into my head. -grin-
No pets here, so no issues. When our last cat was gone, that was that for pets.
"Auntie"
what cute friends. i understand the not recalling what you are going to write ... do that all the time. i think i will write the idea down & then i get sidetracked ... & around & around i go ... ha. ha!! giggles. (:
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl.......such a sweet kitty picture, glad to hear she is doing well.......Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteHurricane Sandy was so bad.
ReplyDeleteOkay yes we allow our fur children to sleep on the bed - at least my daughter and grandson! Are you kidding???
sandie
Kitty yes. Dog no.
ReplyDeleteHappens to me all the time. I write brilliant posts in my dreams.
Glad that your little sweetie has recuperated very well.
Hi Cheryl..
ReplyDeletewishing you luck with your unexpected business, and hope all is well.
We never intended on letting our dog sleep on the bed... but he does.
We also never intended on having an indoor dog... again... he is.
Our big yellow lab never got on a piece of furniture, but the two little ankle biters we have now sleep with us every night, unless we are in our RV .....the the superhero says NO! They are very spoiled!
ReplyDeleteI have great ideas all during the week for a Friday post and by Friday my mind is blank.....I guess we should write as we go!
Cute kitties you have. I don't have pets so there's nobody on my bed.
ReplyDeleteI can sure relate to the forgetting what you were going to say. Happens all the time to me.
Enjoy your weekend!
I just finished picking my puppy up from the vet, she had her "girl" surgery today. And she does sleep on my bed, snuggling at my feet.
ReplyDeleteThat is an adorable photo. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteVelva
How sweet that they have become so attached. Just precious.
ReplyDeleteMighty dog sleeps on the bed mainly because he takes up no more room than a throw pillow. The cat is banished however. It is the draping herself over my head at night that put her in another room.
We don't even have animals in the house....and when we did occasionally, there was none in the bedroom! I have a little fetish about that. I do enjoy having them in the kitchen with me now and then.
ReplyDeleteWe need to start carrying some cats to the vet.......
oh yes yes yes to creating clever post in my head and forgetting them. also to writing down the idea for the clever post, then when i look at the notes i think WHAT was i thinking. our dogs don't sleep on the bed, it is the only thing in the house they can't get on. the reason is i am a light sleeper and if anyone touches me it wakes me up. i don't mind them on the bed, just not with me. so bed is off limits. we slept 16 years with a 60 pound dog between us, so when Max died the bed became off limits for our next 3 dogs
ReplyDeleteI don't currently have a pet, but I didn't allow previous ones to sleep with me because of allergies. Your cats are adorable. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Laura
Sweet picture of Stormy and The Peanut! I bet Stormy is so happy to have a friend. YES! We have always let our kitties sleep with us.. :) I am eager to have a kitty sleep with us again. Went to Jeff's shelter again yesterday. Hope you are enjoying this Novenber Saturday! We went to Columbia for Chinese yesterday, it was crazy makin' up there!!!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. I write clever posts in my head all of the time. Somehow that's usually as far as it goes.
ReplyDeleteNo animals, well except one, of course, in my bed!
Hope the business you had to take care of was good business.
Glad your little kitty is going do well after her surgery.. Bless her heart!!!!
ReplyDeleteSince we don't have pets now---my only 'pet' in bed with me is my gorgeous hunk of a husband. ha
Hugs,
Betsy
I know JUST how that kind of day goes, Cheryl! LOL! Seems I can sidetrack myself sometimes, too! LOL. At the moment, we don't have an inside pet... but, there has been known to be some bed buddies... I'm just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteThey're so precious! I'm really glad they have one another. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen there was just Roxanne, our yellow lab, she slept on everyone's bed. Now we have three pups, so they sleep on the floor unless they're sleeping with our son. Sometimes if hubby leaves really early in the a.m. one of our fur babies will sneak up on the bed to sleep with me. :) I vacuum a lot! LOL
Beautiful photo. Poor Peanut - happy everything is ok. I hear you on the running and jumping and doing things they shouldn't do. How in the world do you keep a cat from doing those things???? :-)
ReplyDeleteI loved the sweet picture of the cats. We do have a small dog that sleeps on our bed. I don't know if I truly like it; but he is awful cute.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
hi cheryl, what little cuties!!thanks for sharing that sweet photo. your cats are so adorable!
ReplyDelete...and the best of luck with your unexpected business...hope everything is well.
big hugs!
I do the same thing...get great ideas for posts and then don't get them down quick enough! We are back in Florida and happy to be home! Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteI get very distracted when I'm at the computer but it is usually by facebook or Pinterest...lol! Your kitties are very sweet. I only allow my cat in my bedroom when my husband is away on a business trip -- he doesn't approve of animals on the bed, but what he doesn't know won't hurt him...lol!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your kind words of support for the Hurrican Sandy victims and your tips on being prepared. I have been voluteering at a temporary shelter for people that lost their homes. It is wonderful to see how many people are helping and donating goods that are needed.
Such a cute pictures. I love cuddly kitties!
