I have something I want to share with you today.
Joani at My South West Ramblings
has a post about Adopt a Soldier for Christmas. She had emailed a soldier through this program that is serving in Afghanistan and he has emailed her that he has 50 men in his platoon and sent her a list of things they would like to have if anyone should want to send a package. Joani is asking for help in granting these soldier's wishes.
If you would like to help, just go to Joani's blog at
to see the list and get the address to mail your package.
I plan to get a few of these things today and get my package in the mail asap. I hope some of you will help, too.
God Bless our soldiers everywhere!
Until next time...
fantastic idea....
ReplyDeleteThanks for this awesome post.
ReplyDeletesweet!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic! When my nephew was in Iraq, I mailed him many Care packages. This is the least we can do for our soldiers.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful suggestion!
ReplyDeleteI used to send Care Packages to Military, back when I was reading lots of Military blogs.
Gosh I think it is an awesome idea as well - there are so many people in need right now. sandie
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea!
ReplyDeleteA brilliant idea! I'm off to see what's on the list.
ReplyDeleteRe: Your comment about our piano... No, I don't play, but my husband does. And he has a beautiful baritone singing voice.
ReplyDeleteThe sheet music, in the picture... "Misty" "Tenderly" Christmas Music.
:-)
Bless you for doing this and giving others a chance to help!
ReplyDeleteThank you for bringing this to our attention, Cheryl. I'll definitely get some things together to send off to them! =)
ReplyDeleteBless you.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a wonderful program! Thank you for letting us know!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, Cheryl. I'll see what I can get together.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea/great post, Cheryl. We do need to remember those soldiers (and the families who are without the mom or dad or another family member) especially during the Christmas season.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless them ALL.
Hugs,
Betsy

ReplyDeleteWonderful to do and such a wonder feeling it provides for the giver! I have a few solders I send care packages for!
ReplyDeleteSomething so meaningful that we can do now, that will bring immediate joy.
ReplyDeleteTons of fun! I must have missed some of these places..I have never seen the Grand Village. Looks like a place I would love to go to..
