Our Furbaby

My little furbaby, Stormy, had a wee bit of surgery (spayed) about 10 days ago.  It was a traumatic time for her and probably the veterinary personnel, too!   She is back to her normal self now.  Here is a picture I snapped of her sleeping a few days after I brought her home from the vet.  Her incision looks a lot like a belly button in the photo.

The next picture shows her getting into everything feeling like her usual perky self.  We're so glad the surgery is over and went well.  We were fretting over this just as if she were one of our children!

BTW, has anyone else had problems with blogger being down the last day or so?  I couldn't post Sunday or Monday.

Tomorrow is another work day/night.  I don't leave for work until 2 pm or later, so I've gotten used to staying up late so I will not get up so early.  Ha!  That's how it's supposed to be...nature is usually calling early in the morning so I get up for that...crawl back in bed and try to go back to sleep.  Everyone else is up and going to work early.  Stormy snuggles up with me and sleeps until the alarm goes off.  She sleeps better than I do!

Until next time...

  1. Awwwww, poor baby. :-)))))) Necessary trauma. For her and for you too. Life will be so much more calm from now on though.

  2. Btw, did the vet mention the possibility of her getting toooooo heavy, now? I had one "girl" who become a way too big "girl"... But of course, this doesn't happen with all spayed cats.

Just a thought... Because it seems it would be so much easier to never get her used to TOO much food, in the first place. Cutting them back later, is not easy.

  3. Hi Cheryl!

It was good to see you this morning on my blog! I just have a love of all things furry - I especially love cats, but unfortunately, my children are all allergic to them :o( Your little furbaby is adorable, doesn't take them long to bounce back and get into mischief, does it! Why do cats love bags?!

The sun is shining today . . . yeah! I will enjoy it while it lasts. Have a wonderful day/evening at work.

    Hugs,
    Barb

  4. Hi Barb and Aunt Amelia...good to see you today! Aunt A...thanks for the tip about too much cat food. I usually just give her the same amount of food...a dry food...every day and every few days I open a can of the other kind as a treat. She'll come begging for a bite of whatever we're eating, but I don't allow her to have much. Don't know what the rest of the family do when I'm not here, I'll pass the warning along!

    Have a great day!
    Cheryl

  5. I find it so interesting how we do treat our pets like our children. We worry over them. We have two little dogs and they bring us a lot of joy. The pictures were adorable.
    Blessings to you! LeAnn
