See You In September

Is it fall yet?  ☺

I've loved every last bloom in my flower gardens this year.

But....

I'm weary of all the watering.

We're back to 90 degree temps and watering every single day is a must to keep the flowers going.  I'm almost ready to move on to the next season.  Almost.

I'm going to be taking a blog break for the rest of the month and maybe into part of the next.

There are so many things I've started this summer but not finished.  I think I may have mentioned a time or six that I'm probably the biggest procrastinator in blogdom...if not the country.

Seriously.

I know that getting older slows one down but I'm just downright lazy lately.  Watering flowers and picking up the house and taking care of the fur-kids and feeding hungry husbands is about all I get done in a days time.

We did go to Kansas City over the weekend.  We had a nice meal with our son while there and I did a little shopping.  I didn't take any photos to share, I only snapped a few photos of lamps in Home Goods near KC to show my daughter what they had.

My lamps are needing replacing.  The cats have knocked one of them over a few too many times.  Do they have obedience schools for kitties?  One of mine needs to go if they do.  :)

Enjoy the rest of this month.  🎜 I'll see you in September...bye, bye, so long. 🎝

Happy Wednesday to you!
xo Cheryl

  4. I fully agree with being weary of watering. Some of my pots require it twice a day and I'm finding a lack of enthusiasm for going out there when it's like a sauna.
You will be missed here in blogland, but I hope you have a most enjoyable break. On the subject of lamps, I think there are some lovely choices out there right now.

  6. I am almost over summer as well. It is so hot and humid, it has sucked all my energy. Enjoy your break and I hope you get some stuff accomplished. I am thinking I may not feel so good until it we get a break from the humidity.

  8. Well I thought I was the only one who was being lazy...it seems I am in good company. My flowers are beginning to wither and my tomatoes are nearly toast although they still seem to be putting out a few new ones. I am longing for that first kettle of soup and wearing my socks...I'm ready for fall! Enjoy your time away and see you in September. Hey, didn't someone write a song about that?? Hugs!

  9. Hi Cheryl~

I know what you mean, I am ready for summer to over as well - I am ready for fall, but am I ready for winter, I don't think so. I did buy a nice spicy candle yesterday. I have been burning it and my house smells like fall... :0) My poor flowers have been neglected, I try to water everyday, but some days, it's all I can do to get everything else done. I don't think you are lazy . . . just busy!!

Have a nice blog break, enjoy the last days of August!

    Hugs,
    Barb

  15. Your flowers are gorgeous. You take such lovely photos. I can't imagine you every being lazy at all you do so many things. You do need to have slow down moments. We continue to water our flowers too; but it is starting to cool down just a touch.
I will look forward to September posts; I"ll miss you! Have sweet moments of catching up.
    Sending loving thoughts your way!

  21. Well I will miss you, but I surely understand. This has not been a good year for me and I am just now enjoying my passion for photography again after many months of just dreary sadness over my mother's passing. Will see you in the fall and I do hope it gets here soon. I am not a fan of summer, it is my least favorite season.

  22. Hi Cheryl, I know you are taking August off --but am asking for prayers for my son Mark.. First he lost his beautiful wife on August 13 and now his home is flooding in the Houston Area... He has had about all his heart can take right now... (You can read my last two blog posts for details.)

    Thanks so much..
    Hugs,
    Betsy
