2 Things...and it's cold!

Just wanted to share with you what 01-11-11 looked like outside at our house.
I'm guessing we've had between 4-6 inches.  It's just so very cold
with temps down in the single digits at night.  The snow will be
around for a while as cold as it is.

Because of the snow and bitter cold, I'm using that as an excuse to be lazy and spend
time again today on the computer.  I found this Meme called 2 Things over at
Susan's Penless Writer and thought it would be fun to do.
If you decide to participate, let me know so I can read yours!

2 Things

2 names you go by:  Cheryl and Mom

2 parts of your heritage:  German and Irish

2 things that scare you:  Heights and horrible diseases

2 every day essentials:  My computer and something to read

2 things you are wearing right now:  Sweatshirt and sweatpants

2 things you want in a relationship (other than love):  Honesty and loyalty

2 favorite hobbies: Reading and roadtripping

2 things you have to do this week:  Laundry and pay the utility bill

2 stores you shop at:  Walmart and JCPenney

2 favorite sports:  When young...swimming and horseback riding.  Not so much into sports nowadays.

2 shows you like to watch:  Don't watch tv much, but when I do its usually HGTV or Fox News.

2 things you'd buy if money were no object:  My own tv station and broadcast just good news and a 1000 acre farm/ranch

2 wishes for 2011:  Good health and safe travel for all my family.

Until next time...

  1. Great! Couldn't say it any better. My, it is cold right across the country. I noticed that the national news showed that every state in the country had snow except for Florida. Then they announced that 49 out of 50 states had snow. Does that mean that it snowed in Hawaii? Ha!

  2. Hi Cheryl!

Are you sure you don't live in Idaho?! I can't believe all the snow you have! Please stay inside and just cozy up with a good book and a warm quilt.

I love your meme! We have so much in common, it's almost scary! I could just copy and paste yours to mine.

    Stay warm!

    Hugs,
    Barb

  4. Oops...just found this: Yes, according to the Weather Service: “This includes Hawaii where about seven inches of snow is atop Mauna Kea.”

  5. Hi Cheryl, We have about the same amount of snow --and ours just keeps coming... George has cleaned the driveway 3 times and there's more snow on it tonight.... Don't know when it will end.... It's pretty though--but I'm now ready for a little sunshine... ha

Love reading your "two's"... We watch Fox News 24/7. We are Walmart people also. And my wish for 2011 is GOOD HEALTH.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  8. Hmmm...my two stores? The gas station and the Dunkin' donuts shop next to my work (coffee, though, no donuts).

Our temps are frigid for the next few days...you must have sent the weather on to the east coast! We often get your leftovers!!! hehehe

  10. Hi Cheryl, Great post, enjoyed leaning these things about you. Walmart and J C Penny gets a lot of our money.lol
Thank you for coming by and for taking the time to leave me a sweet comment.
To answer your question about helpful tips for vertigo. I wish I had something new, but taking Dramamine and going to bed is the best. However when I had this last bout, I took an herb mixture, known as Wellness, I think it really helped me. I am now taking it about twice a week to help build my immunity.
    Blessings,
    Sue

  14. Vee, I wouldn't have thought about the snow in Hawaii either!

Sue, I'll have to check out the Wellness herbal mixture. I'm willing to try anything that might help. Thanks for the info.

Carolyn, my aunt (she was my mother's sister)is a genealogist and has looked into my Irish side which is my father's. She said that there just isn't any information on the people other than what we know once they arrived in this country. And that isn't very much. I really regret that we can't find out much. Glad your snow is gone!
