A somber Monday post....

I apologize in advance for the somber tone of this post.  But my FIL is very ill and may not be with us much longer.  We spent the bigger part of the weekend at the hospital and watching him laboring to breath and struggling to live is very hard.  We've been in this situation too many times before, but it never gets any easier.  Losing a loved one is never easy, no matter how old they are.  I know that many of you know what I'm talking about.

I don't know what tomorrow will bring or the day after or the day after that.  And so on.  I may be away from this blog for a few days, or I may decide to pour out my feelings here in my "journal".  Right now, I'm just very tired and don't know what will happen...just wanted to let my blog friends know what's going on in case I'm away for a bit.  Take care!!

Until next time...

  2. Thanks for letting us know so we can uphold you in prayer. No, the passing of a loved one is never easy but it is a reminder to us all that this world is not our eternal home and that we must set our sights on our Lord and His plans and purposes. Please accept my ((hugs)) and my prayers.

  3. This is such a challenging time and I am saying a prayer for your father-in-law even now. Do not worry about Blogdom. Everyone will be right here when you feel like posting. May the entire family know the peace that passes all understanding in the days to come...

  5. So sorry about your father-in-law. You will be in our prayers.

It is always hard to let a loved one go. But more than anything, tell him that you love him, & when it is time, tell him it is okay for him to go on ahead of you.

    Blog later!

  8. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

When my dad was at death's door a little over a year ago, he kept struggling to live. I finally found the courage to let him know it was ok to let go of this life and go to Jesus and mom. And that is what he did.

My heart goes out to you.

  9. My best to you and your family; we've been where you are now and know it is extremely difficult. So torn to have the suffering stop, while being so afraid of what that entails. God Bless!

  10. I to know how hard this can be. I took care of my mother before she passed away and it is so hard. I was so glad to have the spirit bring comfort to my soul that we will see our loved ones again.
