I stopped and snapped this red barn on the
way to the Dutch Bakery Saturday. Is that a quilt
block I see high above the doors? We do have
quite a few "quilt barns" in this area.
This is a newer barn but I think it's charming
all decked out in red and a bit of white.

Until next time...
I'm not usually a fan of new barns but this one is done well and is charming!
ReplyDeleteVery charming!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a quilt block to me too! Very nice, clean looking barn.
ReplyDeleteThat is cute enough to live in. A fantasy of mine was always to redo an old barn into a house. This one would not take much redoing.
ReplyDeleteIts nice to see a new barn with a quilt pattern like the lovely old barns did in the past.
ReplyDeleteNice shot, Cheryl
I FINALLY saw a quilt barn and did NOT have my camera handy What a disappointment. They are not common in this area....actually, they are nonexistent. Love this one. It is so pretty and the quilt adds that special touch. genie
ReplyDeleteI love the 'quilt barns' and this one is very lovely!! Thank you, Cheryl! Have a great day. blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteI like that someone has added the quilt to this barn. I have never seen quilt barns here in Ontario...so I'm a tad jealous. :)

ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen a quilt block on a barn before. I've seen the various hex signs. This barns looks like it's been kept up pretty good which is nice! Hope you have a great day Cheryl!
ReplyDeletePerhaps it's just me... but I think that red is the most perfect color for a barn!

Nice new barn. In a few years it will have a lot of good stories to tell.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blog cheryl! This is quite a barn that you photographed. Did not see anything like this on my trip this past week to Az, and Mo. A quilt barn! Never have seen or heard of one of these. Very unique. I love Mo. , my parents lived there for 15 years on Table Rock lake after they retired. Go there often.
ReplyDeleteI love that quilt block...so colorful. The barn is nice, too.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very striking barn! I love that quilt square too!

ReplyDeleteI love the quilt block on the barn! There is a whole blog about "Barn Quilts" that I follow. (I think it's over on my sidebar.) I just love them, and would love to see some in real life.
ReplyDeleteLove that quilt...!! Lovely barn.
ReplyDeleteYou know why I like this barn - it is loved - it is taken care of - painted - decorated - someone thinks a lot about it.

I think I'm partial to barns. I notice them above all. Last summer when I drove through most of Iowa, I saw many quilt barns.
ReplyDeleteA lovely barn indeed! Thanks for sharing.
