Lady in Red


I stopped and snapped this red barn on the
way to the Dutch Bakery Saturday.  Is that a quilt
block I see high above the doors?  We do have
quite a few "quilt barns" in this area.  
This is a newer barn but I think it's charming
all decked out in red and a bit of white.

    I'm not usually a fan of new barns but this one is done well and is charming!

    That is cute enough to live in. A fantasy of mine was always to redo an old barn into a house. This one would not take much redoing.

    I FINALLY saw a quilt barn and did NOT have my camera handy What a disappointment. They are not common in this area....actually, they are nonexistent. Love this one. It is so pretty and the quilt adds that special touch. genie

    I like that someone has added the quilt to this barn. I have never seen quilt barns here in Ontario...so I'm a tad jealous. :)

    No quilt barns here, yet, but I'd love to see one. This barn is sweet and charming. I love all barns if they're made well and this one looks like a real beauty!

    it is a pretty one! i like that they took a metal, new barn and tried to keep the old traditions going. :)

    I don't think I've ever seen a quilt block on a barn before. I've seen the various hex signs. This barns looks like it's been kept up pretty good which is nice! Hope you have a great day Cheryl!

    Perhaps it's just me... but I think that red is the most perfect color for a barn!

    Love that barn quilt too.
    One day, I hope to have a barn quilt on both of our barns :)

    Yes, that is a quilt square--so that is a Quilt Barn.... Neat, huh?

    This is a charming barn and I love the quilt. Remember I told you before that I have always had a fasination with barn pictures. My father was a farmer and I just loved being onthe farm.

    Thank you for stopping by my blog cheryl! This is quite a barn that you photographed. Did not see anything like this on my trip this past week to Az, and Mo. A quilt barn! Never have seen or heard of one of these. Very unique. I love Mo. , my parents lived there for 15 years on Table Rock lake after they retired. Go there often.

    I love the quilt block on the barn! There is a whole blog about "Barn Quilts" that I follow. (I think it's over on my sidebar.) I just love them, and would love to see some in real life.

    I think I'm partial to barns. I notice them above all. Last summer when I drove through most of Iowa, I saw many quilt barns.
