The Weekend

A drive in the country.

Beautiful spring flowering trees.

A freshly mowed lawn.  Thanks to BG.

A few chores got crossed off the list.

A Bald Eagle sighting.

And last, but not least, lots of good food to eat.

We went to my favorite place Friday evening to eat fish and the best mashed potatoes around.  I was so hungry and tucked right in without thinking about the camera ever present in my purse so I didn't get a photo.

We now have a new front porch/patio to walk onto out our front door.  It was a long wait, but it's done now as of Friday.  I loved checking that one off the long to-do list.

Such a nice weekend and most of the storms missed us.  How was your weekend?

Lastly, I was excited to have found a barn or two on our drive to snap, so I'm linking today to Amy's The Barn Collective.

Happy Monday to you!
xo Cheryl

  14. I went on several home visits last Thursday (I think). And of course that nearly always takes us out in the rural. Productive day. Lots of sweet pit bulls. :) And beautiful color dotting the Ozarks landscape.

  16. Hi Cheryl~

Sounds like you had a wonderful week-end! Your pictures are beautiful! I love the purple blossoms, and the picture of the Bald Eagle was so pretty. I love to go for rides in the country, even though I live in the country, I love to get even more rural!

My week-end was quiet, just like I like it! We celebrated out 41st wedding anniversary with a road trip, very fun and relaxing, I will post about it later . . . ;-)

I'm glad you are safe and that the storms missed you . . . so scary! I'm also glad you got your porch finished, it wonderful to check those projects off of your list!

    Hugs,
    Barb

  39. Hello Cheryl, I just discovered your lovely blog, so I thought I would take a minute to leave you a note...
Your weekend looks like it was just wonderful and very special! I love the photograohs you shared and the barn is gorgeous - did I mention I love barns..?
I spent the weekend with my grandmother who lives in a log cabin in the mountains and we had such a special time together! I don't see her very often as we live quite far away, so I treasured every moment in her company!

I will be visiting again soon!
    Much love,
    Kelly-Anne
