While not in the best of shape, this old barn looked like it was still being used from what I could see. It is just off a gravel road about 10 miles or so from my house. Even though needing some TLC, this barn has a lot more charm than the metal buildings being built these days.

Until next time...
Faded and old, but looks like it still has a good solid structure to it. And of course, it's red...my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI do love the old rustic barns of long ago, Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteIt really is in rough shape but has red paint so that makes it special! :) Enjoy the day.

ReplyDeleteit most definitely has charm and it is still very much able to house animals or hay or whatever they need to store... i bet it will be standing long after the metal has rusted and fallen down.
ReplyDeleteSo true. The metal buildings shouldn't even be in the same category as what we know as 'barns.' :-) The old wood barns have so much character. This is beautiful, despite its condition. Thanks for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteOld and red wood. Always more charming!!!! Hands down! :-)
ReplyDeleteHope your are feeling better... Slowly I know. But still, hope your heart doesn't ache quite so much, for your dear cat.
ReplyDeleteWhich doesn't sound right, but you will know, what I'm trying to say....

ReplyDeleteI agree - I don't like those metal barns either. This one has charm!
ReplyDeleteThat's true, years from now I doubt people will be photographing old steel poll barns! But who knows?
ReplyDeleteYep, it could use some fixin' up, but it is way nicer than the metal ones they are putting up now. It is filled with barn charm. genie
ReplyDeleteCertainly has character.
ReplyDeleteI can relate. I'm a bit beat up with parts missing but am still kinda functional. Old barns give me hope.
ReplyDeleteAwww, poor thing! It is VERY nice, too, and deserves better than this.
ReplyDeleteIt sure has a lot of openings! Like you, I like it better than most metal ones, but every now and then there is a metal one with character.
ReplyDeleteI hope some fixes it soon. sandie
ReplyDeleteOh yes, it still has plenty of charm! Twyla
ReplyDeleteIt sure has some charm left even with all that natural AC. Hope that it may get fixed before it is too late.
ReplyDeleteI agree, barns like this one that have see better days have more charm than the "new" ones built now.
