Happy Father's Day
to all the father's out there!
The church in the photo, which was taken by my son, is the small country church where my father was a lifelong member. Dad has been gone 9 years now, but he is still missed.
We had quite a storm blow through yesterday, so the father of my children had to work helping restore power outages in the county from around 6 pm until about 5:30 this morning. Our plans today are low-key with a mid-afternoon meal planned with our children.
Have a wonderful day!
Until next time...
daddy had three churches he was pastor of 2 in KY and 1 in Savannah GA and they all looked almost identical to this church

This is my 1st FD without my Dad.
It seemed so strange to not be talking to him on the phone like I always had.....
Pretty photo! Hope your man had a wonderful Father's Day! :)
ReplyDeleteWe always miss those who have gone before....but what a reunion it will be someday! That alone keeps me honest. :)
ReplyDeleteThank God for people who restore power....we surely do appreciate them! I think we all should form a line and clap for them the way the people in Colorado did for the firemen yesterday. Did you see that? Wonderful that people showed their appreciation. The people who restore power put their lives at risk, too. And I know after our last storm, we have a new, stronger appreciation for them!!! I hope they get paid a LOT!!!
