I've
taken a lot of shots of the Goldfinches lately and I can't ignore one
of my other favorite birds, the Cardinal. I always know when they are
nearby by their distinctive chipping sound.
Do you make lists? I've got lists of things to do, things I need to buy, books I'd like to read, ideas I see online, and the lists go on and on. There are so many great ideas out there in blogdom. And products that I haven't heard of before. Right now, I have a to-get list that I need to take care of.
These little cuties plus their mom and my 3 indoor cats are about to eat us out of house and home. Cat food, both canned and the dry variety, is also on my list. We think we have found a home for most of these kittens. I'm already attached to them and wonder how I will ever be able to say goodbye to any of them. I'm getting depressed thinking about it. But, we already have 3 house cats and we can't keep them all.
How can I part with this little one?
Or this pretty little boy?
Or this sweet little face?
Or this little sweetie that my hubby named Patches?
Here is another of my flower gardens. The Knockout Roses are just full of blooms. The rose bush in the upper left corner is huge and I've only had it a couple of years. The Stella's are all blooming since I took this photo the other day.
Here is another shot of the same Knockout rose that is so large. I think it must be at least 5 feet across. The brick building you see is our building that we rent out for office space. It's not quite as close as it looks here. One of the renter's moved out and we need to do a few repairs and repaint before finding another renter. We have several projects lined up to do. That means I need to pull myself away from the computer for awhile and get busy. So, I will be taking a blog break. I don't know if it will be a few days or a week or so. You can be sure that I will check in on everyone when I can. Don't have too much fun without me, okay? Take care and have a wonderful Friday and weekend, too! See you soon.
Until next time...
i never knew that kittie cats enjoyed "cool whip"... that is cool. i can imagine that would have a tough time get rid of the cats ... so cute ... all so different. they really love you with all those treats. ( :
ReplyDeletei love making lists ... do it so often. i try to keep a notepad around all the time because if i think of something i need to remember. very important. it keeps the brain from wondering what the heck was i thinking??!! write it down quick.
Morning Kimberly, sweet kitty's, those little faces are adorable.....funny cool- whip water bowl, looks cute ........I am not a list maker but maybe I should be,:)Francine.
ReplyDeleteOh, I can see why you are going to have a hard time parting ways with any of those little cuties! They are so sweet! Cheryl, your flowers are just gorgeous! You have a green thumb!
ReplyDeleteI'll be wishing you speedy and efficient progress with your projects. blessings ~ tanna
OH! Your kittens are adorable, I know it will be hard to say good bye.
ReplyDeleteYour flower garden is so pretty, love the color combinations, my Stella Dora's are blooming too and need dividing.
And I am a list maker, and this time of the year, it is pretty long.
Enjoy your break.
Sue
What a treat with your blog post today! Such a variety of pictures and all beautiful. If a kitty could work in our life right now I would be begging you for a little girl cat but we just aren't a good home for kitty. I think I have known that for awhile but had to come to terms with it. They are very cute kitties Cheryl. Enjoy your blog break and do what you gotta do. I think I will be doing the same, taking a blog break.. :) AND doing what we gotta do.. :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break and don't even think about what you are missing...just enjoy getting things done.
ReplyDeleteThose kittens are adorable. The first one you posted looks exactly like my Mistycat that we lost 3 years ago. I almost started crying looking at that picture. If I lived closer...well....
Your flowers are just beautiful, Cheryl. I lost all of my rose bushes this year- UGH- xo Diana
Oh rental joys. John is still at it himself. I hope that we get renters soon as three months without that rent money is taking a toll on the budget. All the best as you get things up and looking great.
ReplyDeleteAre you using a tripod for the cardinal photos? That is amazing clarity for a bird photo. I'm very impressed.
Sweetest little kittens. You're keeping the very best one. The only comfort it is to let them go is to know that they're going to wonderful homes where they will bring joy and be well loved.
Oh, I wish you were my neighbor and the Mama Cat was wandering by my house. I'd steal the black and white kitten and then you could come see it anytime you wished. So cute.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the roses and the red bird. The kitties are just adorable. ENJOY your blogging break. I've been thinking of the same thing.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, the kittens are certainly adorable and I can see they would be really easy to get attached to. Your list idea is so smart! Great way to remember everything! I will miss visiting with you until you are back blogging! Have a nice weekend! Twyla

ReplyDeleteCheryl, cardinals are my favorite bird, well, maybe it's a tie between the cardinal and the oriole. But I love the photos!!
ReplyDeleteApparently the butterfly bushes don't do droughts. I lost two of them,. Lists are a must! Mine are on my iPad so they are always with me. Love your kitties.
ReplyDeleteLove that first photo of the cardinal! All your flowers are beautiful. None of mine have bloomed yet and I have to plant a few more where some didn't make it through the winter.
ReplyDeleteThe little kitties are adorable. It would be hard to part with them.
I hope you have a good blog break and get a lot done. See you soon.

ReplyDeleteCheryl, your flowers and gardens are looking so pretty. I love the kittens and the one your husband named Patches is the one that caught my eye when you showed them before. Enjoy your blog break although I know you will be busy with other things. See you soon. Blessings, Pamela
ReplyDeleteYour garden is beautiful! I wish I could take a couple of your kittens, but I have to wait. That's my kind of water bowl, have lots of those :)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos... Glad you are finding a home for those adorable kittens. They are all gorgeous. I'd have a hard time giving them away also.. Good Luck.
ReplyDeleteGreat flower photos. Didn't know that deer ate Knock-Outs...
Have a nice blog break. Will miss you.
Hugs,
Betsy
I hope you get everything done so you can come back and play! My hubby looked at your kitten pics...he loves cats! Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteI will miss you! Your roses are huge and stunning! Are those peonies beside your microwave? They are lovely, I love peonies. Your water bowl for the kitties is purrrfect, because everyone knows how much cats love cream! Don't be gone TOO long, I am a big list maker and you can get quite caught up in it.
ReplyDeleteThat cut flower arrangement is stunning. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will get visiting privileges with your adopted out kittens. They are precious.
I know how you feel. I had to take such a break recently. Sometimes chores demand full attention.
Enjoy the break as much as possible and be back when you can.
Beautiful Cardinal, beautiful Kittens and beautiful Roses. thanks for shairng the pics.
ReplyDeleteThe kittens look so sweet and I can understand why you'll find it hard to give them away. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I keep lists. :))
Enjoy your break. We have feral cats that we feed. We found homes for all the kittens and then captured the adults and had them fixed. No more cute kittens, but no more worrying about them.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Laura
OMG the kittins are just precious. I can see why you want to keep the pretty calico.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the shots of your knock out roses. I chose to plant sum in my beds to replace the shrubs lost to the drought last year.
All of the photo's are fantastic. I loved the bird one and especially the pictures of the kittens. I think you should keep the last one. They are all just adorable.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are just beautiful. I think we need to plant more flowers in our backyard.
Don't work too hard during your blog break.
Blessings and hugs!
Your gardens are all beautiful! I don't know how you can part with any of those sweet little kittens. If your husband has named one, you're keeping it for sure. :-)
ReplyDeleteThose roses are so beautiful. The kitties take the show. So, so cute!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful critter and flower post, and I make lists too. I do not envy you one little bit in parting with those sweet kitties. I would want all of them.
ReplyDeleteThey are adorable!
ReplyDeleteGosh- they are all so cute..I would be hard pressed to just pick one! We had a momma cat that hauled all her babies off one year...she came back, but after about a week- disappeared herself. I never saw her or the babies again. I won't have any outside cats anymore because of her.
ReplyDeleteBoth the flowers and the kitties are so beautiful, Cheryl. Itoo would fine it hard to part with any of them, but glad yiu will be keeping one. The one in the first photo was my favorite today.
ReplyDeleteI make a weekly to do list and look at it daily. :)
ReplyDeleteThose kittens are adorable! I hope you don't have hawks around!!!
Patches is sooo cute!
Have a great week!
hugs,
Marie
HI Cheryl I am a great list person. Without a list(and to remember to look at it) I am lost! Love the roses and well those kittens are adorable. Just keep them all. Margaret
