First up, a Cardinal...just because. I wish I could tell them how much I appreciated their cheerful, colorful selves this winter when it was so drab and dreary outside. I expect they appreciated my keeping their feeder filled with yummy sunflower seeds, too.
BG went to see his cardiologist Thursday afternoon after having some chest discomfort and shortness of breath throughout the week. The EKG looked perfect. Next up is an Echocardiogram in early May. If that is okay, then an upper GI will be done. The doc said the problem could possibly be acid reflux. He also said he could continue working as always.
The Goldfinches are changing back into their summer finery. The males are especially looking more colorful every day.
The photo above is from last year. Our redbuds are beginning to bloom and I'm hoping the frost we had night before last didn't hurt them too much. It won't be long now and I can pick out flowers for the pots on the patio. Can't wait!
If I don't see you before Monday, have a wonderful weekend and a blessed and joyful Easter!
Until next time...
xoxo Cheryl
These are wonderful close ups of the cardinal and goldfinch!! Really brilliant (I mean the word both ways!) I can see every feather.
ReplyDeleteWonderful news about your hubby! Ruling out the "bad" things is always reassuring.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous birds...great captures with your lens!
Your bird photos are always gorgeous, Cheryl.
ReplyDeleteAnd God Bless all those linemen who keep everything going!
My son included, of course.
Hi Cheryl Fantastic close ups of the birds and I love the blossom. Have a wonderful Easter.
ReplyDeleteWe forget the linemen who keep our homes cheerful, lit and the stove working. God bless 'em.
ReplyDeleteAmen! Here's to the linemen who keep things humming along. Good to know that your hubby's report was good and I'll pray the same for the next ones. I do not know how you manage the beautiful bird captures. We had Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal here on the deck railing this week and while I was thrilled to see them...not one photo! Your header is darling, btw. Have a blessed Easter weekend.
ReplyDeletei like the expression on the second cardinal shot.. so sweet and the birds are so colorful they are like spring springing.. God bless your hubby and all the lineman who keep my computer running for me...
ReplyDeletebless that hubby of yours! i am hoping all will be well with his continued tests. love your cards, too.
ReplyDeletegorgeous birdies. ( :
ReplyDeletekeep us posted. i have been dealing with health stuff too this week. i can totally sympathize with you guys there. it has been a week. ready for a less crazy or stressful time. need some quiet.
Glad your hubby's EKG turned out good. My hat off to him and all the other linemen too.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Easter.
That is one handsome Cardinal and I see buds on the branch behind him.
ReplyDeleteGlad that the test turned out negative. I'll tell you what... Acid Reflux can cause some seriously scary chest pain.
Lovely, lovely birds! I'm sure your lineman husband will be just fine! A nice posting on this beautiful Friday. Cool today on the farm but still spring!
ReplyDeleteOOO, these two beautiful birds, full of redness is just what I want, enlarged to poster size, to hang in golden frames along my basement stairs....drooling here.
ReplyDeleteHappy Lineman Week to your honey.
LOVE the birds. Appreciate the lineman for all they do. Glad your hubby is okay for now.
ReplyDeleteWay to go to your hubby...and THANKS! And you sure got some great photos of the birds, so much detail! WOW! Have a blessed weekend my friend! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteOh....isn't he a handsome fella? Speaking of this gorgeous red bird.
ReplyDeleteThe redbuds in our area are so full of deep color this year. One of my favs...
Blessings to your family on this beautiful "Good Friday"

Hi Cheryl~
ReplyDeleteOh boy, I hope everything turns out ok with your husbands medical issues. They have come to the conclusion that my husband must have been having muscle spasms in his chest, as he was kind of low in magnesium and potassium. They are still keeping an eye on him though...scary stuff!
Lineman do have a very serious job, and quite frankly, we would all be very sad if they weren't doing their job everyday! I will be thinking of him every time I have to turn on the lights!
Your photos are so pretty - I'm so ready for spring! We are leaving in the morning to, hopefully, a greener and warmer climate for a few days!
Happy Easter sweet friend!
Hugs,
Barb
Beautiful Redbud tree!!! I so love cardinals. And the goldfinch is beautiful!!
ReplyDelete[you could consider adding this post's link to I'd Rather B Birdin' tomorrow...my link to bird photo meme is on my personal blog sidebar. The NEW weekend meme opens for linking AFTER NOON [texas time] on every saturday. You're welcome to join if you wish.
So good to hear about your honey! My husband had that happen one time also..the acid reflux can definitely be painful, but easily treatable! Our grandson in law is also a lineman! I worry about him a lot too...bless all of them for the great job they do!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and Happy Easter!
Gert
So glad BG got the all clear to continue to work.
ReplyDeleteI use to work for a power company and having been out of power many times, linemen are my heroes. They work in the most awful conditions to keep us safe and comfortable. Kudos.
Yeah for lineman, they deserve their own day. Good to hear the tests are ok so far. My husband had chest pain one time it was a virus called Pericarditis...with powerful aspirins/anti inflamitories it went away..twice now. Once you get it..you are more likely to get it again. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteYour Cardinals are beautiful! Happy Easter! :)
Great bird photos, especially the cardinal....
ReplyDeleteThe cardinal and goldfinch photos are amazing! What a great picture of your lineman husband, too. I do hope that his symptoms are nothing more than acid reflux. That's bad enough, of course, but there are good treatments for it.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see a Cardinal on a blog post,I smile. I don't see them around here,so this is my way of seeing them.Happy Easter to you.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your hubby's tests are okay so far and praying the echo is as well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird shots and my hat is off to all who do your husbands job.
Wishing you a Blessed Easter to you and your family.
There was a male goldfinch right outside my window the other morning. So used to seeing the same birds all winter...most of them brown...he startled me! I completely forgot how vibrant they are. You have some great shots :)
ReplyDeleteGood news about BG! And always a big thank you to the linemen, especially when we live rural. Their work is hard and we appreciate that power and the work they do!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and yours Cheryl!
They do bring cheer, don't they. I love seeing them all year 'round. Give my thanks to your lineman for all he does.
ReplyDeleteLuck girl Cheryl ~ I think I will celebrate Lineman appreciation day now , and look up to see the linemen more often if they are all as fit as your husband . lol
ReplyDeleteThose cardinal photos are exceptionally wonderful. I love that you can see his crest so up close and the fluff of his feathering ~ amazing shots with such beautiful detail.
Oh my gosh; I love these pictures. I am miss reading your posts. I am still on my blogging vacation but I will be back soon. I just couldn't resist reading a few posts and doing one for Easter.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful Easter Day.
Blessings, love and hugs!
My husband suffered from an attack of GERD (gastric reflux) a few years ago that also gave him terrible chest pain. He had to make some dietary changes and take medication for a year, but he's been thankfully fine since. It is fairly easy to treat. Being a lineman looks challenging --your husband is brave!
ReplyDeleteHave a very happy and blessed Easter, Cheryl!
Great photos --especially of your Sweetie working hard. We do appreciate him!!!! AND those birdies are adorable.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you. Hope you have a blessed day. We are enjoying the day with family on this gorgeous Easter day!
Hugs,
Betsy
