I have to confess that I really didn't think about the fencing when I snapped these. Both shots were taken on the same day last week as I drove to the Big Town. Redbuds are one of my favorite spring flowering trees and they are almost through with flowering now. If only they stayed in bloom a lot longer!
This building is along the interstate on the way to Columbia. Last year they planted redbud trees all along the chain-link fencing. I snapped this shot through the window of my car so it's not a very good photo, but I think you can see how beautiful this will be when the trees are fully grown. I tweaked the color a bit on this one to make the redbuds stand out more. And I should have straightened the building, it's not that crooked! lol!
I'm joining Theresa's Good Fences today. Be sure and click the link to see many interesting fences and gates from around the country!
Happy Thursday to you!

It is really lovely with the fence! And you captured the color perfectly! They are all in bloom here, too. But not for long. The forsythias are already gone.

ReplyDeletedon't ya wonder how or why they are called redbuds - they are not red? maybe purple or pink? weird. we love them too. we had a bunch of rain and wind lately and it takes the blooms away too quick for me/my liking. i totally agree with you there. very true. have a great week. enjoyed your happy cheerful spring views. ReplyDeleteTruly a gorgeous fence post. These trees are one of the prettiest, but just do not last long.
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl, Your red buds are pretty. I love all of the spring flowers. My daughter in laws purple tulips are blooming and so pretty. I love spring, but it does nothing for my allergies The worse part is all of the lawn spraying just about does me in. I try to get in and out quickly when they do that if I have to go someplace. They are predicting another stormy weekend. I hope not although it absolutely poured last weekend. Have a good day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend. Shirley
ReplyDeleteYes the fences do take a bit of a "back seat" to the redbuds but they are still nice. That is sure a nice long row of them by the chain link fence. I think they are gorgeous when in bloom too.
ReplyDeleteOh Cheryl....it is an amazing photo..... the fence and the redbuds compliment each other....very well.
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL, image,Cheryl....wow. Once in a while you just get lucky to get something that fills the bill!!! Hope you have a great night! xo Diana
