When I was cruising around this river town looking for a garage sale last week, I happened to drive by one of their cemeteries noted for it's beautiful trees. The first photo was edited in Photoscape using the watercolor pencil, which is one of my favorites.
This is the original photo. The cemetery is surrounded by an old iron fence. I wish I had taken time to get out and walk around, but as usual time was short so I just snapped this out of my car window.
The trees in our area aren't quite as colorful or as vivid as last year, in my opinion. It seems to me that they have been a little slow in turning color this year and we haven't yet had a hard frost. Even so, there are still many beautiful trees to be found this fall. Every autumn is beautiful to me!

Happy Thursday to you!

I love old wrought iron fences…..and this one around the cemetery is a good one. I like the edit you did in photoshop…What did we do before photoshop?
ReplyDeletethat's lovely. what a nice setting to rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteBoth shots are great however good to see the differences.Love the fall colours and fence.
ReplyDeletebeautiful..reminds me i should get out to one of our older cemeteries and walk around while the leaves are changing!
ReplyDeleteCheryl, Those are very nice fences for a cemetery. We just got them around ours about 5 years ago. They really tidied up the appearance. Hope you are loving your autumn weather. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Cheryl...I love the edited version one...such a neat effect on the shadowing of the leaves and grave markers. I love to explore old cemeteries too. You are right about the leaves...we are having the same issue here in NC...drab color and some haven't even turned at all yet...definitely not as pretty as last year! Kind of disappointing when you want to try out a semi-new camera!
ReplyDeleteI love the watercolor pencil processing - it added a very attractive dimension to your photo!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by to comment on my fences. :)

ReplyDeleteBeautiful fall scene and perfect fence. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! This looks exactly like a cemetery near us, iron fence and all! Your edit is much prettier than the original, I have to say!
ReplyDeleteYour watercolor feature does a beautiful job. Very pretty photo! I'd put that up in a frame on the wall. But then maybe cemeteries wouldn't be everybody's cup of tea on the wall :)
ReplyDeleteI like that fence and can't decide which photo i like best, the pencil or the photo. beautiful.. i forgot about photoscape until i saw this..
ReplyDeleteI am jealous...everyone's colors are prettier than ours here in North Alabama. Beautiful photograph.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colors...still not much happening here, but I am waiting!
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots of the beautiful trees! I love the iron fences! Enjoy your evening and the weekend ahead!
ReplyDeleteI agree that fall has come in slowly this year. We haven't had a frost either. I would say we have had a lovely Indian summer. I liked the fence around the cemetery and also your two photos.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you!
Your trees are much prettier than ours. We are also slow. I love cemeteries and that one looks interesting. There are stories on every tombstone.
