We are so lucky to have a few beautiful lakes nearby. This lake is one I love to visit and it's very close to our house. In fact, I could see part of it from my house if I were to climb the tree in the front yard. Like that's gonna happen! I never climbed trees even when I was young because I've always been afraid of heights. However, I have always, always loved watching the changing skies as the sun sets.

there is a sunset outside that you should be sitting under!"

ReplyDeletei can't climb trees and never did because of the same reason, but i can watch these wonderful skies as the sun leaves the day and night falls. my favorite time of day is sunrise and my 2nd favorite is sunset. i love the in between day and night.

Just beautiful. I love the mountains but really miss the sunrises and sets that are blocked by the hills. Water is the perfect background for the sun's best shows.
ReplyDeleteThose are some gorgeous pictures & I like the C Joybell C quote. :)
ReplyDeleteCheryl, your pictures are just gorgeous! I'm certain there's nothing quite as pretty as a Missouri sky! Twyla
ReplyDeleteAh, so serene. I get my share of amazing sunrises, but I must rely on bloggers like you to get a fix of sunsets. Many thanks.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos of the sunset Cheryl. I'm not a tree climber either and never was as I don't like heights either. Four feet up is good enough. LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful, beautiful shots over the water! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI am afraid of heights, too. These are MARVELOUS!!!! My favorite is the second. You are so blessed to have these lakes!!
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl, Your sunsets are awesome and to be so close to the lake. I love that time of the day or as the sun is coming up. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from your NW Missouri friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid of heights as well. These are amazing photos! You must enlarge one and frame it!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week,
Marie
Lucky you to have a view like that and a camera in hand to keep it forever!

ReplyDeleteMy eyes get a feast of beauty every time I come and visit your blog!!! You are amazing with that camera. Thanks for sharing such beauty with me.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are the award winning kind.
ReplyDeleteIt's so important to smell the roses--or watch the sunsets.
When I was a kid and we camped out at the lake, I always sat on the bank and watched the sunset. My hubby and I still go outside in the evenings to look at the sky! Makes me feel good! Lovely photos my friend!
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed at how quickly the sun goes down when you are actually watching it. Gorgeous sunset images Cheryl.
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous pictures - I am a sunset lover too, they are a perfect ending to the day, no matter how good or bad the day has been... :0)
I hate heights too - once, when I was small, I climbed up a willow tree and fell out - very scary!
Hugs,
Barb
You just stick with the spot where you took these photos. No tree climbing, OK?
