Still need to wrap gifts and put the finishing touches on the menu.
We gave up on turkey years ago for that very reason. Didn't we just do this? Back then, nothing started for Christmas until Thanksgiving festivities had ended compared to being on displayed at Halloween now. Glad most of your holiday projects are done or well underway and I agree that it is not something to stress over but too many folks do just that. Hope your Christmas meal turns out well. I have been feeling terrible for the last month, and finally went to the Dr. when I was so sick I couldn't stand it anymore . . . pneumonia! So, Christmas is what it is this year. I was mostly done with gifts, and all the last minute details will just have to wait. My son and his wife will host Christmas Eve dinner, and on Christmas Day, we don't generally do anything big, so I feel like I am on easy street!

Sewing is something I love to do, but don't do very often. Kudos to you for getting out your machine!

Have a wonderful week-end!

Hugs,
Barb Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15158897469583069249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5215549670320492394.post-24004272342287348292016-12-15T20:52:16.855-06:002016-12-15T20:52:16.855-06:00Okay- that does it after seeing those first couple...Okay- that does it after seeing those first couple of photos- I want to come back as someones big fat lazy house cat. lol I sure hope you don't get what your hubby has. That is all you will need.
A few years ago I dropped the turkey dinner, too...which I had done for about a hundred years. lol We went simpler and easier and never looked back. We now do a big mid morning brunch and people kind of nibble in the afternoon and early evening with sandwiches and such. It has worked out great and we always buy a huge ham so there are plenty of leftovers.
Happy pre-Christmas week to you . xo Diana
ps-Yep-you never forget how to sew!!!!NanaDianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14298962791700019785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5215549670320492394.post-42790715551368678642016-12-15T17:39:35.690-06:002016-12-15T17:39:35.690-06:00Switching up dinner sounds like a bit of a challen...Switching up dinner sounds like a bit of a challenge. What is up with that anyway??? Do you think it means we are getting O-L-D-E-R??? Seriously, I cannot believe how fast this whole year has flown by! Your decorations look so beautiful and festive. We all have our own traditions, don't we? My older son does LOVE chocolate covered cherries and he gets a box every year too. One thing that I stared many years ago was getting the kids and grandkids a box of Little Debbie's Christmas Tree cakes...lol! They come in red velvet now too! :) I hope to wind things up this weekend as we will all be traveling to TN to Adam's place. I think ham and homemade mac & cheese is on the menu, for sure and probably some venison sometime over the weekend :) I hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas!
